Meet Joe Stuckey of Joe Stuckey & Co.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joe Stuckey.

Hi Joe, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up in a one red light town with a global mindset and amazing fashion sense was not without challenges. I didn’t always feel understood, respected or accepted. I learned early that a bigger city was for me. In 1996, I moved to Atlanta and studied Fashion Merchandising at Bauder College. From there, I interned at Saks Fifth Avenue in the visual department which led me to wardrobe styling. I’m proud to say that my work has been featured in numerous magazines from Esquire to Marie Claire. Fast forward years later and we have His Heart Love – Inspire Connect Unite.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Our road has not been smooth but, Blessed. Sometimes it’s challenging to stay motivated or feel that your message is being received or even understood. Being able to navigate marketing and making solid decisions regarding what product or production company to use. Raising capital and deciding different brand strategies. Speaking plainly, sometimes it’s challenging to be in business at all and still have life happening. You still exist personally and those requirements don’t fade just because you are low in stock of a certain color of an item or a client is not happy. We’re still growing and learning each day but, the support and love I receive far outweighs any challenges.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My brand His Heart Love is a part of my LLC Joe Stuckey & Co. The official name and tagline is His Heart Love – Inspire Connect Unite. It speaks to how through God’s love, we’re able to Inspire Connect and Unite during such a challenging climate. I’m INSPIREd by Fashion, We CONNECT over Food and Music is a universal UNITEr. As a brand, we offer T-Shirts, Hoodies, reimagined vintage Camo Jackets, Sweatshirts and more. We can all use a message that we’re not alone in our challenges or that a bad day does not define our lives. His Heart Love is a friendly reminder that’s so necessary.

I’m so proud of our message!! The way it touches people when explained and how it resonates with people of all walks of life. I’m thankful that GOD has blessed me to be able to do the things I love and make a living from it. I was blessed with a long history in wardrobe styling and personal shopping (joestuckey.com) I created my brand (hisheartlove.com) I host a page called Style Cuisine Sound that focuses on Fashion Food and Music (Instagram @stylecuisinesound) I also recently found joy in updating dressers and other furniture. Be on the lookout for postings of those pieces for sell coming soon via joestuckey.com and on Instagram @joestuckeystylist

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
GOD makes me happy!  Happiness is Fashion, Food and Music. Happiness is traveling and learning about new spaces. It’s a walk in the park with my Fur Son Ransom. Happiness is a good doughnut!  It’s top-shelf vodka in a martini glass after a long week (Okay well any glass light rocks LOL). Happiness is a beautiful song playing at the right moment or the warmth of the sun on your skin. It’s my family and friends being healthy and flourishing. Happiness is patience, understanding and opportunities such as this. “Happiness is Being Blessed & A Blessing” – J Stuckey
