Today we’d like to introduce you to Joseph Bush.
Hi Joseph, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Well, since you asked. I am an actor/influencer. I did a lot when I was young. I started off with YouTube. Always loved the cameras. I did a YouTube video in high school and it went viral around the whole school, I was famous for like two weeks lol. Kept doing YouTube till I eventually wanted more. It went from YouTube popularity to wanting it worldwide. In 2019 I did my first project which was a short film called “The Box” I was thinking “yes this is my time” nope, not gone lie that was a terrible, bad experience. The lady on set told me “this is how the industry is so get used to it”. I questioned a lot when I did that, but that didn’t stop me. In 2020, I decided to make TikTok because I wanted a fan base. I continued to do TikTok and accumulated 100k plus followers. I got sponsorships, posted on big Instagram pages and all types of things. It was a big rush, but I still wanted acting.
In 2021, I was in my first actual production which was a reality talk show “B4K” (coming out soon by the way). Once I when on set for that, I loved it and didn’t want to do TikTok anymore. I knew acting was for me. Over the years I’ve met and talked to lots of celebrities like Chris Tucker, Zaytoven, Scotty Pippen, and Vince Carter, honestly that’s a few, the list goes on. Gotten advice from a lot of them about this industry. As of right now 2023, I’m networking and on the way to being in another TV show and a few other things. It’s classified right now but I’m excited for the world to see my talents on screen.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Whew, Plenty of struggles along the way. I definitely feel like the worst struggle was patience. When you’re on social media and you see people you look up to doing all types of things and you’re still working a job hoping for it, it really brings you down. God has really been developing me as a person while I’ve been waiting. This industry is nothing to play with, so I have to take time to learn who I am and what I really want. I had to realize that this is bigger than acting, bigger than fame and money. I have to make a worldwide change.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am an Actor. As of right now, I’m known as the TikTok or YouTube guy until the world sees me on screen. I can say I’m most proud of my dedication to the craft and the ability to be patient even though I’m not where I am yet. What sets me apart from others is the fact that I’m actually very entertaining, handsome and an amazing actor. Not only that but I always make sure no matter what that I always uplift and inspire people.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was very goofy and playful but also a leader. Always brought people together and wanted the best for everyone. I loved watching tv shows and movies. Always wanted to be on Disney or Nickelodeon. I loved video games. I remember I asked my parents for a ps3 and got an Xbox 360. Was I happy about that? of course not, what was I supposed to do with that. My friends were all on ps3. I made it work and eventually got a ps4 and enjoyed myself. I had fun as a kid definitely had a good childhood and great friends and family to spend time with.
