Today we’d like to introduce you to JRich ENT.
Thanks for sharing your story with us JRich. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started off rapping, Iooked at engineering as a way to cheapen my session cost.
I didn’t go to school, I learned from my mentor Big Fraze.
I tattooed his name on my face for teaching me how to engineer “Thank Fraze.”
Since then, I have made a name for myself for working with numerous artists during the Soundcloud era.
Including Lil Gnar, Trippie Redd, Lightskinkeisha, K$upreme, Yung Gleesh, Famous Dex.
I also worked on first projects for Lil Yachty, Lil Baby, and Offset.
I preach cash or credit in the engineering game.
Bangladesh kicked me out my own studio that I was paying through college because he didn’t like that I was working so late.
When this happened, I got a job at a restaurant and decided I would purchase time for artists and record who I believed in.
Then, Boom. Lil Yachty.
Soon after one day. Jay 5 called me to the studio to record his friend for the first time ever.
Six months later, that rapper is Lil Baby.
First time pulling up on Offset to record him, he sent me home.
And now, Clout is platinum and I’m proud to say I recorded it.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
This road hasn’t been smooth at all.
I think the hardest I worked when I was working with artists to build my name.
Paying for sessions, flights, anything I had to do to make a session or a meeting happen.
I remember working a double (8 am -12 am), Yachty would pick me up from work, we would work all night, and he would drop me back off at work. Whew! those were the tired days.
I got caught falling asleep on the job more than once.
Then, one day, Coach K came to No Mas, he didn’t know that I worked there.
I paid for his food but didn’t let him see me. Later on the next day, he called me and told me I got a job waiting for me at QC.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to start over, I would have taken the time to finish learning how to make beats!!!!
