Today we’d like to introduce you to K. Renee Burt
Renee, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Looking back, I have had always had a camera since I was little. My father-in-law bought me a camera for Mother’s Day. I began taking photos in the marketing ministry at my church and from there started taking photos for members of my church. I have now been taking photos professionally for 5 to 6 years. I absolutely love photography and capturing moments either posed or candid and providing lasting memories for my clients. Then journey has been incredible!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been relatively smooth but we all go through some rough patches as we continue to grow and learn in business. I have had great people around me that have been excellent mentors and given tons of advice, help, and encouragement!

I am the owner and a photographer of K. Renee Photography. I specialized in portraits, events, and weddings. I am known as the camera lady at church, lol! I am proud of the continued growth, success, and I just overall enjoy taking photos that people will enjoy for the moment or a lifetime. I think my personality is what sets me apart honestly. I like to make my clients feel comfortable and relaxed so that their best self shines through in pictures!
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I have a lot of proud moments as a photographer but just recently, a client shared a session and it received tons of likes and shares beyond my normal audience. I gotta say, that pumped me up! When clients share my work, tags me appropriately, and it gets great feedback, that makes me proud! I’m glad to know that they love my work as much as I love creating lasting memories for them!
