Hi Karesha, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My business Naturally Melanated LLC is inspired by my late aunt Shelia Turner. Her motto in life was to live in your purpose and be true to yourself. So after she transitioned, I started to SHOW UP in my full purpose. Skincare has always been a priority for me. I would spend so much in commercial skincare products as well as spend over $80 monthly just in body butter. One evening I sat and calculated all of the money spent just in my skincare routine. Once I came up with the figure, I instantly planned out a way to create affordable luxury skincare for my community. I looked up many ways to create body butter on Pinterest and stayed up until after midnight “cooking” my very first batch of whipped body butter! I wanted my butters and all of my products to offer a melting effect. After perfecting my craft, I switched out all of my commercial skincare and body butter for the products I created. Another motivation for my brand is my wife. She suffers from eczema breakouts. The mildest whipped melting body butter OG Naturally Me has cleared and lightened her eczema. Once we saw the results, I knew I couldn’t turn back! It was the boost I needed to continue to create. The goal is to create organic aromatherapy skinfood products for everyone of all skin types. If we feed our skin the nutrients it needs it will do wonders for us as the year’s pass. I am The Skinfood Dealer.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Overall, it has been a smooth process! My support system has been beyond my thoughts. This journey has been organically beautiful. The only adversity my business faced last year was the pandemic. This affected consistent sales. We have overcome that and we are continuously learning for improvement!

Naturally Melanated is the definition of all things Selfcare. We specialize in organic whipped melting body butters, face mists, lip balms, bath/body oils, face wash, and now travel and leisure essentials. NML is most known for our whipped melting body butters. I am most proud of my growth, diligence, and most of all patience with my brand. It’s not a walk in the park being an entrepreneur or owning a business. However, when you’re TAPPED IN you’re bound to do all that you can to keep pushing your brand. We will be hosting our first market pop up shop this summer. This market pop up shop will be an opportunity for all business owners to network as well as all of the guests to shop and support our local businesses. Naturally Melanated LLC presents The 444 market pop up shop inspired by Shelia Turner, my late aunt. It will be held in Fayetteville, Georgia at the PMP Event Studio August 20, 2022 from 11am-3pm. There will be a DJ/MC, light refreshments, and opportunities for you to network and shop! We’d love to see the Atlanta and surrounding areas come out and support/shop with our local businesses! It’s a family event as well so be sure to bring your friends, kids, mom, and dad. Make it a bros day or a girl’s day and stop by!
