Today we’d like to introduce you to Kemiko Lawrence.
Kemiko Y. Lawrence is a mixologist, brewmaster and certified registered yoga educator, with yoga alliance. Kemiko’s wellness journey has been her life’s story. As a child, she experienced severe illnesses. This experience led her mother to radically modify the family’s diet. Kemiko’s mom laid the foundation for what is life’s work and passion. Kemiko is passionate about educating others about the power of diet and yoga. Her signature kemboocha is an extension of who she is.
Having worked with corporations, individuals, small & large groups, Kemiko continues to lead the charge of spreading wellness throughout her community and the world. A health and wellness advocate, Kemiko believes that being non-judgmental of yourself will ensure you will be the same way with others. Self-care is key to Kemiko’s way of life. Caring for herself is her way of exemplifying strength, courage, and wisdom.
Kemiko is married with five children. She is a proud military and homeschooling mom, triathlete and lover of an active lifestyle. She resides in Douglasville, GA with her husband and three youngest children.

Has it been a smooth road?
My journey has had its ebbs and flows. I’ve been practicing yoga for over 20 years and teaching for 11. During this time, my husband and I have been raising our five children. We have four sons and 1 daughter. Family life has been simultaneously joyful and challenging. I have been a homeschooling Mom for the past 16 years.
I was introduced to yoga by my husband because at that time, working in corporate America & having two young children posed tremendous challenges and stress for me. I will always remember how I felt at the end of my first yoga practice. That feeling drove me to return to the practice over and over again.
Fast forward several years later, we embarked upon homeschooling our then 4 children and moved from North Jersey to Douglasville GA. The transition from to homeschool and then move across states posed challenges that I couldn’t imagine.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Harmony Wellness Angels story. Tell us more about the business.
My company specializes in curated wellness experiences. We offer corporate and private wellness products and services. Our first product that has been launched is a brand of Kombucha, known as Kemboocha.
Kemboocha is a fermented tea that is tasty and great for gut health. It is an extension of me. Our signature event is known as “bend n’ booch”. Participants enjoy a 1-hour session of yoga, followed by a refreshing serving of Kemboocha and a complimentary bottle, to take home.
Because I started brewing booch for my family 12 years ago, the flavor is distinctly unique and satisfying. I am truly proud of how I have been able to marry 2 modalities that have benefitted me, in my personal life into business. My personal and professional lives are deeply gratifying and positively contributing to the world.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Over the next 5-10 years, the anticipated growth in both of my industries will continue to rise. Yoga and Kombucha will continue to evolve and grow nationally and abroad.
People want to feel better. I have a deep understanding that wellness is an inside job. If we can work to ensure that our insides are happy, the outside will naturally reflect that.
Wellness is a trillion-dollar industry. As it continues to rise, I am grateful to be a ripple in what is surely the ocean known as the vast ocean of wellness.
