Meet Kevin White of Chief Fitness Officer in Buckhead

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin White.

Kevin, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
“GO TO SCHOOL, GET GOOD GRADES, AND GET A GOOD JOB”… Well, that’s what I did as most of us are instructed by our parents. I studied Finance at Georgia Tech, worked in Investment Banking, and Corporate Finance only to realize being a traditional CFO wasn’t what I wanted to anymore. Deep down, I knew my passion was rooted in health, wellness, and fitness stemming from being an All-Star soccer athlete growing up. I would continually ask myself how do I share my passions with the world; and then, it hit me. I don’t want to be A CFO, I want to be THE CFO, thus Chief Fitness Officer was born at the matrix of my passion for Business and Fitness. Ultimately, I want to help increase access and promote proactive health measures for people to achieve their fitness goals.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Ha! This road has been anything but smooth. Where I think most of the struggles come from when being an entrepreneur is the internal battle of imposter syndrome. The fitness industry is such a saturated place it’s easy for you to feel like a small fish in a big ocean. I have to daily remind myself that as long as I’m following my passion and giving my gifts to the world there will be space for me. I’m currently in the stage of continuing to perform at a high level in my 9-5 at a major Fintech while trying to grow CFO and provide my clients with the highest quality of customer service every time. I would say for anybody that’s in that middle ground to keep pushing and be very cognizant of your time management.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Chief Fitness Officer – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
Chief Fitness Officer provides wing to wing fitness and wellness services and solutions for clients. Currently, I have 1-1 training, small group classes, quarterly challenges, and curated boot camps that I run. My style of training is primarily focused on HIIT and functional training as I want my clients to be strong for everyday life. I also bring my finance and business knowledge into my training as I monitor my clients progress through data tracking and forecasting out their progress. This allows clients to “see” how they are progressing as they go through my program. I am most proud that I am able to serve my clients by sharing my God-given gifts through my love of training and business acumen. What sets me apart is my willingness to keep learning and exploit my niche of having worked in the belly of the beast of several major corporations prior to starting Chief Fitness Officer.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plans for the future are to keep investing in the brand, build a community of healthy individuals, and eventually open a center for fitness, and entrepreneurs. I think that’s ultimately a great intersection to have because a healthy (mentally, physically, spiritually) entrepreneur will be able to focus on bringing their dreams and goals to fruition. As we look forward to this next decade of the 2000s, I’m just looking forward to listening to the omens and enjoying the journey to my entrepreneurship goals.
