Today we’d like to introduce you to Khadijah Jones.
Hi Khadijah, can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely no. I started out without a dollar to my name, trying to start a business with just a dream. I was pregnant in esthetician school driving an hour too and from Lynchburg, VA and also battling health issues in the middle of a pandemic.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in Waxing and Facials. I’m proud of my business because I built the brand from the ground and perfecting my craft by practicing daily and learning new techniques etc. What sets me apart is that I don’t see competition. I’m willing to help the next esthetician.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Covid 19 crisis was an eye-opener on life. In a matter of time, the world can stop and there can be a shortage of the least things you would expect. It’s great to be prepared. I also learned the importance of sanitation and disinfecting. Staying healthy is important.
