Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Hollis.
Lisa, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was a hairdresser for 30 years, and I loved it. I was doing two little girls hair one day. I knew that they hated their hair by their verbiage and body language. This resulting in the two little girls having low self-esteem. I knew I needed to do something about that. I then proceeded to write a children’s book when I got home to encourage and inspire little girls to love themselves from the inside out.
The book is called “Me and My Hair” which was published this year. I believe this was the reason that I was meeting so many little girls that from the eye prospective were cutie pies, but their attitude from low self-esteem changed that cuteness to not so cute. The book then produced a Hair Movement called “The Generation Z Hair Empowerment Movement”. Why Generation Z? Well, society says the youth today is called the Generation X which represents negatively. I say let’s start a Generation Z.
The letter Z represents the end of the alphabet which will end the negativity from Gen X to positivity of Gen Z. I knew this was only the beginning, but I was stuck in what to do next. My best friend, Robin Burton and prayed to see what was the next step in this precious thing called life. We were lead to speak to the world greatest Life Coach Lynita Blackwell. The vision was birthed after this great conversation.
Robin and I proceeded with the vision and obtained our certification to be A Life Coach, then The Reach Back and Lift High manifested. Reach Back, and Lift High inspires clients to tap into the resources that they have inside them but, may be hidden by the clutter of everyday life. The guide to the client through a series of discussions and actions to help them achieve positive results.
We specialize in providing services that include the ability to add to one’s expectations which will cause positive productivity, build self-confidence, and a brighter outlook. The ending results will place you in a positive position to obtain your goals and desires.Our desire is to work with women, specializing with women over 50 who find themselves at a crossroad in life. But this not limit us just to offer this service to women; we work with men and children too.
Reach Back and Lift High specialize in Vision Board Events which we call “Vision Quest.”
The first Vision Quest was held July 15, 2017, with many positive testimonials producing positive productivity in our clients. The ability to have a Vision Board Event completely different from any other is what makes our Vision Quest such a success. Reach Back and Lift High will be on tour starting in 2019.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road has not been easy due to such as life happening, I lost my father on December 15, 2016, and my mother May 11, 2016, YES 4 months and 26 days apart. I have had some medical issues the being of 2018. The ability to have faith in God and a great support system has allowed me the ability to conquer these obstacles.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Reach Back and Lift High story. Tell us more about the business.
What makes me most proud of my company is when a client returns and states how much the process that Reach Back and Lift High provieded for them. Therefore caused the affect of great positive changes in their life.
The fact is no one can beat me being me. So this sets me apart from others. The ability to meet people where they are and help them arrive in their ordained destiny is what sets Reach Back and Lift High apart from others.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I do not believe in luck. I believe in God-ordained destiny. I believe every step I have made in my life has prepared me for what I am doing now. I knew God had and has a plan for me, the only thing He was waiting for me to do was have faith, listen and obey.
