Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Pham.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Lisa. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Honestly, doing nails wasn’t what I planned to do as my career. I always had a special place in my heart for art. But who knew nails would be a way to express my passion for it. My mom was a nail tech throughout my left and she was the one who introduced me to this industry. I started out doing nails as a side job to make a few bucks as a senior in high school. After a few years go by, I started self-teaching myself different techniques and designs. At that time, I was also going through a rough time in my life and I found that nails was my way of leaving of that behind. I moved on to something bigger and better in my life, which is, of course, my passion now, nails.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The nail industry wasn’t that easy. I would say the hardest part was building my clientele. I wasn’t all that into social media when I first started. I didn’t think promoting my work on different platforms would make a difference but it really did. When I first started, one of my clients encouraged me to post my work on Instagram and Twitter. That was a huge success. I had so many supporters which I are also now my clients.
We’d love to hear more about your art.
I specialize in Nails. I can do anything from the basics such as mani and pedis then all the way to the fun acrylic stuff like ombré and designs. Acrylic nails is what I’m known for, including the fancy designs. There’s not a thing that I can’t do to make sure my client is satisfied.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I define success is when you’re not willing to give up until you reach your highest potential goal. I wouldn’t think that I’m successful yet. I have so many goals and dreams I wanna reach and achieve. But I know that I will have a successful business soon and it’ll be something I can pass on to my kids one day.
