Today we’d like to introduce you to Madalyn Sankey and Constance Stinson.
Madalyn and Constance, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
We two sister located in Montgomery, Alabama. We started designing luxury dessert buffets in 2016 first but soon people asked us to design their full events because of how detailed we were with the dessert bars. We eventually started investing into our event design & floral company and offering luxury rentals & floral event designs.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a smooth road for us as #TheDesignDuo. We have really honed in on our floral design skill set and that has progressed our business to the next level with us primarily now designing with live florals. We have accomplished designing large venue transformations and also small intimate events as well.
Sweet Luxury Events – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Sweet Luxury Events is known for creating signature styles events for our southern clientele. We specialize in Event & Floral Design and also an array of Luxury Rentals. We design Dancefloors, Stationary, Room Lighting etc. What sets us apart from others is the fact that we are a family-based company and we are 2 sisters that use their individual strengths to create beautiful designs for people. We are definitely humble people that have built our business from the ground up. We do everything together as a Duo. We are best friends & sisters that share a passion for designing beautiful events for people that believe in entrusting their special moments with us.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Our proudest moment has to be us being able to run our business with our parents by our side at every wedding event that we been hired to do. To be able to share our gifts and be surrounded by family at some of our biggest productions means the world to us.
