Today we’d like to introduce you to Marquis Walker.
Marquis, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Always had a love for film and music. Started back in high school with a group of friends Joshua & Julian (People who are still involved with the business till this day) as just a joke and something fun. A few years after graduating high school my friend (Richard) inspired me to turn it into an actual business while we were diving into the world of music. Went from looking for places to record in to now we do our own events, sell merch, do wedding photography/videography, released three projects over the span of a few years.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s never a smooth road. But I feel like the biggest struggles came from self-doubt, which I still somewhat deal with. I always think I can do more or I’m never doing enough.
Please tell us about Lrk production.
Lrk productions is a group of black creatives just doing what we all love. I’m a photographer/Videographer and an artist. Some people know me as my artist name lrkchronicle and others may know me as a photographer. I’m most proud of the people who I built this up with and my drive. My mindset to always do something new and the genuine energy I bring is what sets me apart.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Honestly, nothing. Everything I’ve done has created the person I am today.
