Marquis, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
“The average millionaire has seven streams of income.” That’s what my college professor said to me my sophomore year of college.
The seed was planted. But I had no idea how to water it, so I could see it harvest. “It’s imperative that I create multiple streams of income, I will be a multi-millionaire one day.” I continuously kept thinking & saying that to myself.
That ignited me, which lead to me earning my MBA, presently being an adjunct professor & starting a young professionals events curating business titled Wine & Dine Entertainment.
Has it been a smooth road?
There are no smooth roads journeying through life. Whenever you say you want to be &/or accomplish something, you’re inviting obstacles & challenges into your life.
Obstacles & challenges are designed to show you how much you want whatever it is you said you want &/or want to accomplish, by your willingness to endure & overcome whatever is in your way.
The biggest struggle is simply believing in yourself when things dont go as planned or how you envisioned. I simply started truly believing in myself.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Wine & Dine Entertainment story. Tell us more about the business.
Wine & Dine Entertainment is a young professionals events curating business. I put together networking events for young professionals to mix, mingle & network with like-minded individuals.
My most proud moment as a business is the fact that I get to see people increase their networth by increasing their network at my events.
What sets me apart is my passion & desire to see people become & be all that they desire, as I become & be all that I desire.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see more women in the events curating industry/business in the next 5 to 10 years.
