Meet Marva Williams of LaSalle Mmgt Firm and MTW Solutions, LLC in Riverdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marva Williams.

Marva, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I began working with WWE on Full Sail Univ’s campus in Orlando, December 2013. After one year and a half, I began working the surrounding southeast shows with BounceTV’s Premiere Boxing Champions. A few months down the road, that production coordinator referred me to work one show under NHRA’s production coordinator, February 2016. I completed the rest of that tour season with them on the road thru Nov of that year, beginning as a runner and finishing the last four months as the show’s production coordinator. I did a couple of boxing events in between shows that kept me in touch with Bounce. Following the end of the tour, I began working on set with them on a couple of sitcoms, where I met Olivia Holmes. There, I was introduced to Roger Bobb’s crew as they were often hired by Bounce for the production of their original shows. I was hired on full time by Bobb’s UPM Angi Bones, as an office PA, but continued to work boxing and BounceTV in-between. I was teamed up that same year with Olivia to coordinate Bounce’s 24th Trumpet Awards (I worked the 25th show, as well). Following that, I was hired by Hawkeye (the company responsible for scoring and replay technology during soccer games), so I was the on-field replay technician with ATL United during their inaugural season in the Mercedes Benz Stadium. The production company that produced Bounce’s boxing events, always provided work so I also continued with boxing, along with working the preseason games for the Atlanta Falcons. Outside of TV & Film, I manage a few music artists. One was seeking a composition form ATL’s platinum producer, Zaytoven. I spoke with his manager Roland Williams. After a 2hr conversation, I began assisting Ro with Zay’s logistics (day-to-day) and has been with them for a little over a year now. I recently pulled away last December 2018 from TV/film to focus on the music but I step in, day-playing from time to time when needed.

Has it been a smooth road?
If I could be transparent, I don’t think anyone has a smooth ride. Every course has its fair share of obstacles, especially in this male-dominated industry, as a woman. I could write a book on that, lol.

I guess to keep it simple: I’ve been homeless and sheltered. Dead broke 9I mean, as broke as broke could get) and paid, but through everything, I refuse to give up! I got places and heights I’m trying to reach so I can’t stop!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with LaSalle Mmgt Firm and MTW Solutions, LLC – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
My companies are somewhat umbrellas for multiple hats. My main title is production coordinator. I hire, coordinate, and manage productions and events for many entertainment industry gigs. However, I also ‘double’ as a stage manager, production assistant, office PA, producer/writer/arrangement (film script and music) and anything else that may present itself as a need during any taping. Beyond this is artist management.

Of course, I like to make sure my actions are always 100% professional and accurate while working but I am most proud of managing and maintaining healthy relationships throughout my short career. It keeps me working and I believe that is what sets me apart from other individuals.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love that Atlanta is a melting pot of thinkers and try-ers. I have had so many people willing to take a chance with me, without barely knowing who I am. That made me work hard because I didn’t want to let anyone down.

What I cannot stand is fall’s traffic! I hate it! But I guess everyone else is trying to find out what’s hot in the city too, lol.
