Meet Megzy T

Today we’d like to introduce you to Megzy T.

Megzy T, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Being the youngest child in my family, I spent a lot of time finding ways to entertain myself. No matter how bored I was, I would always find a way to pass the time. When I was 6 or 7, I created an “Office Space” in my dad’s very messy garage. In that garage is where I would construct clubs for my friends to join which quickly turned into the lair where I would daydream about establishing my own brand or even design plans for a bed and breakfast. Now that I am nearing my 30’s I admire the eagerness and creativity I had at a young age and try to exude those qualities in my everyday life.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely NOT!!! I have had some bumps in the road along the way, some small and some big. My physical health has not always been the greatest, I was never amazing at school, socialization has been a struggle for me, and the overwhelming weight of mental health problems have been just a few of the hurdles I have had to face along the way. Without these obstacles, I would not be who I am today.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Currently, I am working as a wedding/events coordinator, social media assistant, and photographer. My job is to make sure events happen smoothly. I also do a lot of social media assisting for Vecoma at the Yellow River, Lazy Glass, and others. Both of these jobs are so much fun and I am so proud to even have either of these jobs.

What matters most to you? Why?
This is a really hard question… Of course the ultimate, yet cliche answer is family. Without all of my families love and support, I would be nothing truly. However, I feel mental health is a very close second. Taking care of your mental health should be a priority for most and neglecting that can lead to some real problems.
