Today we’d like to introduce you to Memry Wilson.
Memry, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve been a licensed cosmetologist since 2006. After moving to Los Angeles in 2015, I was introduced to lash extensions while working at a hip lash bar on Melrose. I really fell in love with the cute luxury service and decided in 2018 to create my own strip mink lash brand because a lot of women still prefer strips but would love the look of a mink full set.
I rebranded the company this year after the onset of COVID and named it Memry Mink. Since I’ve added luxury pearl and bling masks and a liner lash glue as well.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It definitely hasn’t been the smoothest of roads. I’ve done lashes in a lash bar, in my own lash studio and I’m now offering mobile services.
It’s a very demanding service that takes time and care from the service provider and that has to be respected by all clients. People will play with your time if you let them and I’ve learned that the hard way.

My strip mink lash line is probably what I’m most proud of at the moment and my luxury masks.
I offer a range of exotic colors of lashes for the client that wants a different look, shooting something creative or just wants an eyegasm. Lol
With the onset of COVID, I had to think of something outside the box, I mean I wear a face mask every time I do a full set or a fill, so if I have to wear a mask day in and day out I wanted to make a statement. And since you can really only see people’s eyes, my lashes become an even more needed accessory.
I’ve been at this entrepreneur life on and off for a while now so I’m proud that my company is where it is and has such great potential to continue to grow.
I’m really happy with all the feedback I’ve recently been getting because I’ve put a lot of time, effort and heart into my 2020 rebranding.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I watched my grandmother do hair in the basement of her own home. So I’ve always been around the beauty industry.
I did gymnastics and pageants, my talent was reciting poetry and I won most of them.
I was always talkative and outgoing, I loved and still love music and dancing.
I still aspire to be an actress and TV show creator but that’s another story for another day. 🥰🤪
