Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Arcuri.
Michael, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Well, I started making music under the moniker of “CURM” roughly a few years back around the same time I was approached by Card Culture CEO, Jackson Herold to create and design our flagship debut product, “Supreme Leader”. After a year of designing the game we launched on Kickstarter. Not only did we fund in just two weeks but we managed to surpass our fundraising goal by about 5 thousand dollars.
Also, in that year, I began performing at different music venues and house parties around Atlanta slowly but surely advancing my musical career with new fans after every performance. Without people like Jamee Cornelia, Jay Americana, Harrison Lylerly & Jimi Davies all taking a chance with me I wouldn’t have gotten anywhere. I’m extremely grateful for all of the opportunities I’ve been blessed with thus far and I’m extremely excited about where the future will take me.
Speaking of the future I’ll be opening for Tame the Inspiring Me at Mother Bar September 29th & Supreme Leader’s first expansion pack, Political Agendas is coming back to Kickstarter this fall!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road along my journey has at times been quite smooth but when you zoom out to see the entire path you’ll notice more than a few bumps. I’ve had my fair share of setbacks from working with toxic musicians, booking other bands/artists that were downright disrespectful to say the least and a boatload of creative differences in my work. However, despite the struggles and hardships I wouldn’t change a thing about my life, I love making music and I’m more than happy to create tabletop content like Supreme Leader.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Card Culture Games – what should we know?
Card Culture Games is a company of just a few people. We create innovative gaming experiences to bring out the inner tabletop gamer in everyone, the experienced gamer as well as a beginner. We design games for everyone that are easy to pick up and play yet provide a layer of depth and strategy even the most seasoned nerd can appreciate.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
My most important quality to everything I do I believe is patience. Sometimes you just have to wait for everything to fall into place at just the right time. Honorable mention: problem-solving skills. Cause people be having problems!
