Meet Michele Brundidge

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michele Brundidge.

Michele, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My name is Michele Brundidge and I am a mom of a college freshman, a Small Business Project Manager. As a Project Manager, I help small businesses understand processes, create specific plans for upcoming projects and add additional streams of revenue. Believe it or not, I still work in corporate America while building my business. So its a lot. I have always wanted to be an entrepreneur and build generational wealth. But we all know it doesn’t come easy. But the goal is to have the drive, the motivation and keep building.

I started off doing this at no cost. Meaning, my friends would have an event and we would discuss the event in casual conversation and I would give feedback on how to make things easier. Or I would arrive at an event to support and it would be total chaos “behind the scenes,” and I would just take over and make things more organized. I loved doing it and loved the logistics of it all. So I finally made the decision that if I am going to do something that I love, why not this.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It definitely has not been a smooth road as an entrepreneur. But it has been one of learning, confidence building, and trusting the process. One main struggle that I think all entrepreneurs face is financial. We have this concept that all things cost and for the most part, they do, however, there are so many things that you can learn to do for yourself that you would typically pay for such as your website, etc. You can find tutorials and learning videos to achieve what you want and would have cost you $500, may now cost you half of that.

Another struggle that I faced is “knowing my value.” As business owners, right before that launch, or when sales are low or slow, we sometimes doubt what we know. We never doubted it when we were doing it for free, but now that we have put a price tag on it, we become unsure. I had to learn that if nothing else, your time that you put into someone else’s business is worth it.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I am my business. I am my company. I am known by everyone who has worked with me as the “goal-getter.” We set goals and we create a plan to reach them. Most of the time, my clients know exactly what they need but are unsure of how to get there. Maybe a consultation is all that is needed in order to brainstorm ideas, and then there are some that say “just take it” and tell me what I need to do.

What sets me apart from others is that these days I have no fear. Fear will destroy anything. This has not always been the case. In the past, I allowed others to knock my self-esteem and de-value my worth. But now, because I know how that feels, I make sure that clients operate fearlessly as well.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plans for the future include continuing to grow my business and my brand by offering courses for new business owners. I am also the host of 5 after 3: The Podcast. Its a podcast for business owners (specifically for moms) to motivate, inspire, and encourage them to move toward their next best level of success.

In addition, I have started creating journals. In this time of uncertainty, everyone should have an outlet where they can express feelings and, of course, gratitude. My first journal, called The 90-day Gratitude Journal, is available for sale on Amazon. It’s a journal that allows a person to have and write down moments of gratitude.
