Today we’d like to introduce you to Miesha Robinson.
Hi Miesha, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up in Long Beach, CA, 25 miles away from Hollywood, where the possibilities to do and be anything you wanted are endless but experiencing poverty, gang violence, drug-infested areas left much to the imagination for a successful life. However, I always believed no matter what your beginning are, it is not your final destination. At an early age, I was flowing in the entrepreneur spirit. I started selling candy and school supplies to other students to make extra money to buy the things I wanted. The drive and desire to make my own income has always stuck with me throughout my life and the reality came full circle once I stepped out in faith to create multiple businesses and make solid investments to secure an independent lifestyle. There were several bumps in the road along the way, which caused anger and frustration but I never stopped believing in myself. Those difficult times pushed me harder to find my true purpose and break generational curses.
So, I began to explore web design in college, which opened doors for freelance work in addition to my full-time student life and part-time work life. I slept five hours a day, worked retail for eight hours a day and did freelance work for 6 hours a day, then did it all over again. I was tired, frustrated and had a horrible diet but I made it work for a few years before graduating with my Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Marketing. After a few years working for large fortune 500 companies and navigating through corporate America, I realized how much I still wanted to be a full-time entrepreneur. So, I made a decision to put myself on a 6-month exit strategy to create the life I always wanted, then Covid-19 happened. Quarantine has been very difficult for many but for me it has been a huge blessing. Currently, I have four successful businesses I have established over the last few years, which includes, Twenty21& Co., Miesha Robinson Consulting and Ucrowd, and The Level Up LA. With each of these establishments, I have been able to thrive before, during and after quarantine. I am the definition of a serial entrepreneur and intent on continuously growing and expanding my reach globally.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Entrepreneurship is not easy, there has been plenty of war stories including losing my day jobs twice, bad business deals, legal hardships and losing money but I wouldn’t change a thing. Every chapter in my life has a purpose, I’ve learned so much about how to be a better businesswoman, leader and balancing it all. As an entrepreneur and in life you’ll continuously evolve and learn along the way. Those moments when things seem unclear or confusing, that’s when you’ll have to dig deep in your faith, team and gain knowledge in areas where you need to strengthen. There has been days when I cried myself to sleep or didn’t feel like showing up to perform everyday but that’s when I had to push a little harder. One thing I ask my clients is “How many hours a day do you work on your business”? If it’s less than you’ll perform at a day job, you already lost. The proof is in the profits! When you work for someone else the expectation of your duties is tied to a check, nothing is different from running your own business. You have to show up because your time, energy and employees are tied to your money. Nothing in life is easy but how much are you willing to sacrifice to accomplish your goals?
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory is spending time with my Grandmother. I vividly remember her sharing coffee and toast with me while watching soap operas in the afternoon. She would always speak life into me by affirming that I was beautiful, intelligent and capable of being anything I wanted. My Grandmother would pray for a happy successful life for all of her grandchildren and I wish she was still here to see how far I’ve come. I miss her.
