Today we’d like to introduce you to Mikaila Hoskin.
Mikaila Hoskin, a true Georgia peach born and raised in Columbus, GA. Growing up as an only child, I was shy but creative in my shadows. I left home in 2013 to attend Alabama A&M University, where I’ll be a 2x graduate from this illustrious institution come December 2019. My new home at Alabama A&M University allowed me to crawl out of my shell and to explore my creative abilities. In this same year, I fell in love with makeup. Glamour Me was the initial name of my brand as a makeup artist. As an inspiring makeup artist, I worked to become the best I can be. It was not long until I became very interested in the makeup products and brands I was using. In 2016, I stated, “I want to have my own lipstick line.” Then, later in 2017, I was asked what was my personal goal as a makeup artist. My response to her was “I don’t inspire to be the best makeup artist, but I do inspire to have my own cosmetic line and to soon have the best. For the first two years, I hesitated and procrastinated drastically. But one day, I decided to get serious and chase my dreams. I began my research and from there, it became history. On October 21, 2018, I released Glamour Me Kollections to the world. Since then, my vision has enlarged to bigger and better things. Glamour Me Kollections began as a lip product line, but it is now a cosmetic collection that sells various makeup and skin care products. It has not been a full year yet and things have been moving better than I expected. Each and every day, I grow to love my business more and more. Glamour Me Kollections is an online store today, but in the future, it will be presented in your favorite beauty store and/or stand.
Has it been a smooth road?
The biggest struggle was making the first initial move. For two years, I contemplated on going forward or not. The fear of disappointment, lack of knowledge and the risk of losing preyed upon me. But with the strength of God and self-motivation, I finally made it. Since Glamour Me Kollections launched, things have been going in the right direction. It is true that I do experience all the trials and errors as any other entrepreneur. Yet, I am fulfilled with joy that I overcame the biggest obstacle, launching my brand.

Glamour Me Kollections represents beauty, makeup, and skincare. I offer makeup services from makeup applications to makeup classes. Along with the services I offer, I sell cosmetic products. As of now, Glamour Me Kollections has its own lip gloss, lip strobe, lipstick, highlighter palette, face mask, face moisturizer, and oil cleanser. I am most proud of my growth. My cosmetic line has expanded its product selections and consumers. What sets Glamour Me Kollections apart from other cosmetic brands is the variety of products. I focus on multiple audiences, makeup, and skincare. All things dealing with beauty will soon be offered by my business. I also believe my online marketing presentation sets Glamour Me Kollections apart from others. Being a brand new business on the market, I ensure Glamour Me Kollections is visible each and every day with new postings. As the CEO, I also represent Glamour Me Kollections in any presence. I am my brand, every day.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I believe no matter where you start if you believe and it is destined then you will succeed. Being in a big city definitely open up opportunities and connections. However, one’s success will be determined by how hard you work, network and market yourself and business.
