Meet Mini Producer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mini Producer.

Mini Producer, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I first started making beats when I was in high school, using a program called Mixcraft. My dad even took me to Guitar Center to buy me a mic, an audio interface, and studio monitors. I still use those to this day. At the time. I didn’t realize that you could have a career in music, so I was just doing it for fun. The biggest accomplishment I had during high school was having my beats played on the morning news show that we had. They shouted me out and everything. Once I got to college, I started college is when it took a turn for the better and I took it more seriously. I always joke that are everyone in college is a rapper once. So, I got some experience with having artists come in room to record and listen to beats. I even switched over to the software I use now called FL Studio.

When I got to college, this is when I got more serious about Mini Producer. I got my logo made and it’s been my logo ever since. I received my first $100 bill for beats when I was a freshman as well. Even though I had sold a few beats before that online, that was the first time I had received that big of an amount in person. College really helped shape me as a producer and the sound I wanted to have. I had artists give feedback on my beats and I just worked towards becoming better. I took classes in the MEBUS program which is the Music and Entertainment Business program at KSU. Now that I’ve recently graduated I’m just focused on my growth, I’ve got a long way to go and more experiences to have, so I’m looking forward to them.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I would say the struggles along the way have just been dealing with other people’s fears and opinions of what they think you should be doing with your life. Also with being a brand and utilizing my social media @miniproducer finding my voice and building up is something I’m still learning how to do that better. Another thing I’ve dealt with my whole life is my condition Osteogenesis Imperfecta Type 3. OI is a brittle bone disorder that effects my height and in my case, I also can’t walk. I’ve had 24 surgeries in my lifetime and over 100 breaks, so there have been times where I’ve felt discouraged. However, I’ve learned that I have to be bigger than the struggles that I face.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Mini Producer – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
Mini Producer is a social media influencer that’s known for producing dope beats. I’ve recently been getting into doing motivational speaking as well. I’ve had the opportunity to speak at my middle school a couple of times. Something I’m really proud of is just the impact I’ve been able to have on others just through the content I’ve created over the past few years. Something I feel sets me apart from others is the authenticity behind my brand, I’m transparent about things I feel most brands/businesses wouldn’t be because of what they feel may come from it. Having potential clients and just people that follow my journey feel like they know me is a game changer. I’ve always heard that people buy from people they like. Having a big personality and being authentic has allowed me to connect with individuals, I don’t feel I would have if I didn’t have those qualities.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plans for the future are just to continue to grow and expand my reach so that I can be able to impact more people. I’d also like to be on Ellen, meet Garyvee, have my own tv show, get into modeling for urban and high fashion wear. I’m looking forward to what the future holds and growing my brand to its max potential!
