Today we’d like to introduce you to Mixi Kay.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Mixi. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
While attending Clark Atlanta University I worked as a server at several restaurants. After serving for about two years I discovered my interest in being a bartender. Not too soon before graduating I received the opportunity to begin training behind the bar and from there my love for bartending was created. I’ve always been a person with multiple jobs and side hustles, I would like to say that I’m a woman of many trades. During the summer following graduation, I decided to enroll in a local bartending course to increase my knowledge of alcohol and the bartending industry. On October 16, 2019, Mixi Maid Bartending was established. This past year the company has grown tremendously and is continuing to grow. Today, Mixi Maid has established vendor partnerships with several venues across Atlanta from small intimate venues to production companies. Recently, Mixi Kay wrote a 101 Bartending Guide that teaches everyday individuals how to make cocktails right from home. Mixi Maid has extended her reach into teaching online bartending courses and provide hospitality staffing for events.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Like any other business owner, I’ve encountered several bumps in the road when it came to establishing my company and extending its reach. The biggest challenge I’ve been faced with thus far was figuring out how to still generate revenue during this recent pandemic. However, like many business owners, I am a creative, so all I had to do was put my creative abilities to use and develop ways for people to still enjoy my cocktails and personality from the comfort of their own homes. This is why I created my bartending guide, bartending beginners kit, IGTV tutorials (@mixi.kay_), and recently started my online mini bartending sessions
Please tell us about the company.
Mixi Maid Bartending is a mobile bartending company. We provide bartending services for all events from birthday parties and baby showers to weddings and grand openings. Not only do we create cocktails but we also create mocktails for those who love the ambiance of a cocktail hour but aren’t drinkers. We recently just started offering staffing services where we provide servers in addition to our bartenders for special events. Mixi Maid is known for its catchy name and beautifully crafted cocktails which sets us apart from other mobile bartending companies along with the fun personalities of our staff. Bartending isn’t just about the cocktails but also the bartender’s personality and the experience that they create for the guest.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I am not one to believe in luck however, I do believe that everything is destined and that what you speak becomes your reality. The goals and dreams that I have for Mixi Maid bartending will happen because not only do I speak these things but I also continuously put in the necessary work to achieve and accomplish them. The power of manifestation is real and anything you say is achievable. I also, heavily believe in karma. What you put out into the universe is what you receive. For that reason, I continuously support other up and coming businesses and am always willing to help support someone’s goals and dreams in any way that I can whether it be with physical labor, advice/guidance, financial assistance, or recommending their services.

- Bartending Services (75 guest or less) start at $375 for 3 hours with select alcohol included (larger packages are available)
- Staffing Services (Maids Only) starts at $225 for 3 hours
- 2020 Graduate Special – $350 for 3 hours (select alcohol included)
- Savage Summer Special – $500 for 4 hours (select alcohol included) valid June 20th – September 22nd
