Meet Molly Flynn

Today we’d like to introduce you to Molly Flynn.

Molly, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Hello, I’m Molly Flynn, also known as Molly World. When I was only 15 years old, I started making YouTube videos. Moving forward, at the age of only 18, I started getting booked to direct sets, shoot, edit music videos, performances at showcases, interview rappers, and much more! At the age of 19-20, I met Showout, the owner of So Official LLC. He had been monitoring a lot of my progress online, as well as in the community.

Moreover, Showout wanted me to be the face of So Official, which is a marketing, branding, and multimedia company. Continuing, working with Showout, I became the COO of So Official and I aspired to casting as well as directing. I started casting a plethora of music videos, Reality TV shows, such as, “Black Ink Crew”, Also TV shows and commercials featuring comedian-actor, Kevin Hart, and so many more! In totality, the accomplishments and growth were firstly because of my hard work, drive, and dedication and without a doubt the help of my major colleagues Showout, other top casting directors, and so many more. In conclusion, presently five years later, as I am 24 years old now, we cast for major artists like Blac Youngsta, T.I., Future, Lil Durk, Boosie, two Chainz, Quando Rondo, just to name a few. I’m also presently the casting director for ORS Hair Care for all of their hair campaigns and hair shows across the country internationally. We also cast for commercials for the Atlanta Harts-Field Jackson Airport, along with a ton of elite events such as Boutique Fashion week. We cast for J Nova Collection lip gloss line by Ms. Jacky Oh. I am also an event manager for Naked breakfast and we have helped them hire some amazing servers. It’s hard to express all I’ve been apart of because I’ve done so much! Even on an average day, I can be booked for three different sets or more. I truly do my best to accommodate everyone involved.

Has it been a smooth road?
It definitely has not been easy, especially in the beginning of when I started casting. I had to learn to mature some and that I have a lot to learn. Definitely have had lots of haters along the way. Also, it’s hard when you believe in your talent so much but they may not believe in themselves as much. I’m very loyal and committed to helping people and getting the job done. But sometimes you have to know when to step away. I have definitely learned that not all money is good money.

Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
So Official LLC is an umbrella company. It’s a marketing, branding and multimedia company. We specialize in connecting the dots. My position as COO of So Official is to direct visuals, be the casting director, find locations, put together major events and projects for clients who can vary from small business owners to major companies. We help a lot of people in the Entertainment world across the country and outside of entertainment we help corporations as well that involved in real estate and more. Then when we talk about casting which we definitely are known for. The So Official Casting department is Molly World Casting which I run. We have a huge database of models, actors, and dancers. We cast kids to grandparents and everyone in between. We don’t post every project we are involved in and we cast a lot of different kinds of projects from major commercials to major music videos from major hair campaigns across the country to events that are here in Atlanta.

I would say I’m most proud of casting these couple of projects: 1) Casting for the Super Bowl Commercial Last Year for the Atlanta Harts-Feild Jackson Airport 2) Casting for Kevin Hart’s commercial a couple of years ago 3) Being the casting director for ORS hair care starting last year till now 4) Casting tons of Bosses and Baddies / Twerk Tuesdays segments on Iheartradio with Et Cali 5) Blac Youngsta projects from his epic live F*ck Everybody 2 listening party went viral we booked over 50 models for that, music videos and all of his photoshoots for heavy camp clothing line 6) We have had models flown out to different cities and even St Thomas for major shoots 7) We are so proud to just work with independent people and business owners to the major people and corporate businesses.

I believe the thing that sets us apart from other companies is our positive energy! That is definitely number 1 on our list. If I am on set, you will definitely hear me shout and motivate. We will put our all into your project and promote it! If we are involved with a project, it doesn’t matter what position we played. We will promote it and show love.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I was born and raised in Marietta and I’m 24 years old. So I love that I’m a Georgia native. I love Atlanta because we love to network. You could even go have fun at the club and leave will a couple business cards and some work locked in. Everyone loves to network no matter where you go in Atlanta which I love to do. I’m a big believer in “your network is your net worth”. I also love that the entrainment world is big out here!

What I like least about our city is the finesse and the scams. There is definitely a lot of that going on. I’m used to it happening at this point, but I feel bad for the people who are new to our city who end up getting to find out the hard way.
