Today we’d like to introduce you to NX2.
Hi NX2, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
NX2: At only 15 years of age, we can confidently claim that NX2 is off to an incredibly hot start in their careers. Currently based out of Charlotte, North Carolina, these two have music in their blood. Since the age of 3, these two twins have sung in church choirs and really put forth a flawless and fresh sound to both gospel and R&B.
Recently releasing their debut EP, “Love Story” They have built a fresh-sounding R&B catalog that could easily solidify the twins as the future of R&B music in today’s generation in entertainment. Seeing as though they’re just getting started, they already have plans for even bigger things in the coming months as they build an online presence and host a tour through both middle and high schools in the U.S., highlighting topics like mental awareness, cyberbullying, and teen suicide awareness using their platform and making a true impact on their peers.
We’re thrilled to see what else they’ve got in the works and how interesting it is to see the young men build a career in a genre that isn’t as dominant as it was in the 90s in the music business. Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. It’s been many days where it’s challenging juggling rehearsals and our schedules. Not to mention using being on a co-parenting schedule can be a lot to maintain. But I can say it’s been well worth every minute on this journey. And we are honored to be able to live out our dreams thus far.

Micah and Matthew Robinson have been singing since the age of 3 years old starting in their church choir. Since that time, they have aspired to venture out and pave their own way using the gifts that God has afforded them to blessing others through song. In 2020, they released their first song “Love on Replay” and they have not looked back. With smooth harmonic melodies they have been afforded many opportunities including performing at local restaurants, performing the National Anthem representing their Alma Mater, Business Conferences in both Winston Salem and Greensboro, a mini tour through Mecklenburg and Union County with Juneteenth celebrations, sat down with No Limit Larry and Power 98 for teen talk Tuesdays as well as other interview opportunities both locally and abroad and they recently released a single that appears of BET “Our Love”. NX2 (Next 2) is well on their way to pioneering through the R&B industry paving their own way and headed for destined success. Let’s welcome Micah and Matthew Robinson, known as NX2 (Next 2).
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
We don’t believe in luck. We simply believe that God has chosen us to be blessed with a gift and to use that gift for the greater good.
We know he has given us a talent to use our platform so that people can be brought closer to him. It’s no such thing as luck this is all a part of his plan.
