Oluyemi, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My story began many years ago when it became clear to me that I had the ability to help people through dentistry. I love dentistry and how it allows me to provide a life-changing impact on the people I help. After a short time practicing, I began to have a vision for what I wanted my practice to be.
My mission is simple: Treat every patient as family. I began to build on this foundational philosophy and build Braselton Smile Studio around this core value. Not only do we treat every patient like family, but we want our patients to be welcomed into an inviting, clean, and modern environment. Just like one would want to be invited into a home as a guest. And have fun at the same time!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
If you’ve ever opened a small business you can certainly understand there are many obstacles during this process. We significantly changed the aesthetics of our space which required a complex construction project. Dental offices are unique from this perspective because there are many vendors involved with the project and coordinating it all while staying on schedule was stressful.
However, for the most part, we’ve been blessed with all the pieces falling into place. Our top priority is the patient experience so it was extremely important to me that we had everything ready and working for our opening day.
Please tell us about Braselton Smile Studio.
A little bit about Braselton Smile Studio: We opened in late 2018 and serve the north Atlanta surrounding communities. We are a family-friendly general dentistry office. We provide a vast array of services from teeth whitening to complex cosmetic services. We are extremely excited for what the future has in store for Braselton Smile Studio and other locations when we expand.
We are most known for our office atmosphere. You can expect to hear upbeat music, see smiling faces, and a different dental experience than what you may be used to. Those who are uncomfortable coming to the dentist, we are going to make sure we help you with that. Our mission is: Treat every patient like family. Everything we do in office stems from that mission.
From a specialization standpoint, we specialize in doing our very best to make sure all your dental needs can be done under one roof. You may have been to a general dentist office that refers you to an oral surgeon or a periodontist. We understand that can cause additional stress for patients because they were uncomfortable before they came in. Now, they have to go through the process of getting to know and become comfortable with another office in addition to ours. I’ve invested a great amount into the latest technology and education so that I can serve patients and perform a variety of dental services.
I am most proud of seeing the way we impact people’s lives and the community by “how” we do what we do!
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from childhood is going to Disney World the very first time. I love Disney and I always say that Disney World is the “happiest place on Earth”!
