Payal, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was raised in Chicago for a good portion of my life before moving to Atlanta. I completed my Bachelors at Georgia State University in Neuroscience. Then, I went on to complete my Masters in Marketing.
I recently went through the Wedding planning process which was a lot of fun for me when it came to picking out the details that spoke to mine and my husband’s personalities.
After I got married, I wanted to be there for other beautiful Brides to help keep them calm and keep their anxiety at bay when it comes to the details.
Seeing the positive impact on my clients’ lives during the biggest chapter of their lives makes me so happy! CR started off catering to weddings and have now expanded to all special events. Chaos isn’t just during the wedding planning process, it is very much present at all special events. We are here to refine that Chaos at every event!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No business (small or large) gets to where they want to be on a smooth road. The process is always curvy and it has come with a lot of growth, self-realization and has helped me see what I’m capable of achieving.
As I mentioned, I started ChaosRefined in February 2019 and I was trying to figure out the exact path I wanted to take ChaosRefined on. I started off on what I felt was the right path but then my beautiful grandmother passed just two months into starting my business and I put everything on what felt like an indefinite hold.
It took me a few months to stand myself back up and recalibrate. After a loss that large, you get a strong sense of perspective & it is that perspective that has shown me what ChaosRefined can accomplish.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up as the first of 3 and the only girl always has its perks. I was always the social butterfly and the energizer bunny (as my Queen Mother likes to call me) nothing has changed about that. I’m still the same social butterfly with too much energy and now I have a channel to share my energy and creativity through along with meeting some amazing people along the way.
I loved reading books, painting, puzzles, and all types of art. It triggers problem-solving and fed my curiosity to always learn something new about the world.
Growing up I realized that in order to be successful and achieve your goals, you have to surround yourself with like-minded individuals that have a strong drive to succeed and can challenge me intellectually.
If I’m not reading, working out, or working, I’ll be traveling somewhere. I love traveling with my husband, family, and bestie! Nothing like traveling with people that know how to have fun!
