Today we’d like to introduce you to Porcha Henderson and Anashia Tolliver.
Porcha and Anashia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
We got our start by hosting our first women empowerment and educators event called “Capo Bellissime” together about a little over a year ago, here in Atlanta. We had about 6-7 different women aside from ourselves from different backgrounds such as established business owners in metro Atlanta, professional students, aspiring entrepreneurs and even fortune 500 business workers to give their insight and experience along their journey to entrepreneurship, how they’re climbing their career ladder, potential partnership opportunities, and etc. The event received a tremendous amount of great feedback so we decided to view this platform on a global level which sparked the non profit organization known today as, Capo Bella Inc!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Of course things don’t always go as smooth as we want them to go! Along the way we’ve had our fair share of struggles. Initially, establishing concrete partnerships was a little bumpy. Even though, we were a couple of months into being incorporated as a non profit we wanted to be taken seriously and wanted everyone we came in contact with on a business level to know that this is not a hobby for us. We have also learned along the way to identify our separate strengths first and then combine our strengths to become the powerhouse that we are today! Communication barriers we’ve learned get better with firmness in expectations when working with different partners and clients. Everything has progressed and we are thankful for our partners and clients who help us learn and fill holes along the way.
Capo Bella Inc. Non Profit Organization – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Capo Bella Inc. specializes in curating opportunities for women in business. Whether be an aspiring entrepreneur or established, providing resources, education and more!
What we are most proud of as business owners is the opportunity to bring other female entrepreneurs together! It truly means a lot when we see people we’ve introduced to each other collaborating for future projects.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success to us is defined as living your truth. Doing what is true to your heart and fulfills you is the ultimate success.
Many do not have the opportunity to do what fulfills them and settle doing what has to be done. Neither one of us knew where this journey with Capo Bella Inc. would take us but, we are loving every moment of being able to help others! It is both fulfilling and rewarding in so many ways.
