Today we’d like to introduce you to Porsha Jackson.
Porsha, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
England Graphix was started out of hardship during my first pregnancy with my first son England. I quit my job due to health issues and began using my degree from The Art Institute to do graphic design services from my home. I had been on my job for five years and never quit a job before. I didn’t have a plan when I left my job. My son is now 11 years old and I hit 6 figures last year. I’ve serviced clients all over the U.S. This has been an awesome journey. The most important thing is that I’ve gained a chance to show my 3 boys how to work for yourself. I am now back working in Corporate America as well as running my business. My goal was to create multiple streams of income. So, I offer many services including graphic design; I print and design anything, I also build social media and promote them, I create websites, do photography, and offer business consulting. I try to cover all business for small business! I’m a big supporter of small businesses. I also have a new major project brewing in the near future.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have been many challenges. Sometimes business was great and sometimes there was NO business. But I stayed down and maintained consistency! I believe that is key.
Please tell us about England Graphix.
England Graphix specializes in affordable designs. Its a fact that advertising is extremely important to your business and or events. So, my goal is to create eye-catching designs at an affordable price for my clients. Many business owners don’t have up-to-date graphics, much less premium graphics. I give business owners access to premium graphics to help them stand apart from their competitors. Also, I will go over-board to meet my client’s needs. My customer service is very important to me. It’s simply treating people like they pay your bills; because they do. I am most happy that I have not yet received a bad review on any platform or in person. I am happy that I can submit a design to a skeptical client and 100% of the time gain that client’s business.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from childhood is me always playing the leader; If me and my siblings played school, I was the teacher, if we played bank, I was the lender if we played house, I was the mama if we played store, I was the store owner. It reminds me daily that my life was preparing me to have my own one day.
