Today we’d like to introduce you to Ralph Louis.
Ralph, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Well, I started graphic designing about 12 years ago. My 7th-grade summer going into 8th grade school year my aunt rose, and my mother got together and bought me a little notebook computer because I would always use a separate aunts computer all day long
Journey:
The day after I got my computer I was on MySpace, and I found a local rapper Slice9’s page with all these cool cover arts, and I always wondered how he did it. So I messaged him asking if he could help me or just do one for me and he gave me this ridiculous price (which was probably fair) but not fair enough for the time so I did further research and ended up put photoshop onto my notebook.
After that, it became a secret hobby that I only used for myself then around the second semester of 8th grade I started a clothing line named Foreign Reign with a friend (Miles Divine). Just furthering my skills going into high school. I moved around Atlanta a lot and constantly met so many new people that the brand ended up becoming a big thing.
Being featured on the fader, complex, and many other platforms. Throughout that time period, I would always make artwork for local rappers that I would just meet here and there until 2012 I met a guy through who ended up being rich the kid…
I started designing for him, and he eventually introduced me to the migos… so just like that, I went from a kid with an idea to someone with a plan… I had a platform, so I was able to show off my creativity… after that, I just kept working now I’m on my most advanced form, and I plan to keep growing and creating
Has it been a smooth road?
It’s give and take… I feel like if you focus on your end goal, you’ll understand that the hurdles or the rocks in the road aren’t supposed to make you stop. They’re supposed to give your journey meaning, test your will, and also give you strength.
My biggest struggle is just conveying my message so that people understand exactly where I come from, where I want to go, and what I plan to be.
We’d love to hear more about what you do.
Well, as of late I feel like my business/company is me. I want to create many companies. I don’t want to limit/marginalize myself. I have so many ideas and ways of thinking that I feel could change the world.
I’m knowing for designing, whether its clothes, album covers, logos, etc. I’m most proud of my development.
What set me apart from other is the way I think. I’m all about bringing people together or just finding a perfect place for everybody in this big collaboration called life. I try to get as many great people to work together as I can so we can give the world the best product.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I feel like the trend changes but the bases stay the same so I can’t predict anything just yet. I just want racial gaps to be bridged, more jobs, less violence, and want us all to reach our full potential
Also, my only prediction is that Fleacoo will be a multi-platinum artist and that I work with Prada by 2024
