Meet Ronnie Beatty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ronnie Beatty.

Ronnie, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Growing up in WV,I realized quickly that I had to have money either or I had to spend the time to achieve what I aspired. In those mountains, there isn’t a lot of opportunity, especially for African Americans, seeing that we only took up 4% of the population. I no longer wanted to let my fear of missing my family and friends stop me from achieving my goals. Initially I was only a musician, so when I graduated high school, I went to The Recording Workshop and got my Audio Engineering License ,then attended WVSU for my Associates degree in Communications, along with Videography, and Scriptwriting. After completing all that I feel I could accomplish in WV it was time to move. I moved with my high school sweetheart and never looked back. I started off selling cars, commission only, knowing I’ve never sold anything but that didn’t stop me from overcoming the fear of failure, I learned to sell and eventually went on to sell more at T-Mobile. That’s when I met a man who told me I was such a great salesman that I’d needed to start selling Real Estate. Shortly after hearing that, I enrolled, mastered my craft, and started my own LLC, Ronnie’s Real Estate. I educate, sell, assist buyers, write contracts, and provide customer service to anything Real Estate. Although I’ve been extremely involved in Real Estate, the passion for music quickly came back when an opportunity presented itself for me to Engineer at 11th Street Studios, which is a top resort for Major artists and Labels. There I networked and planted my seeds of all sorts, meaning Real Estate, Audio Engineering, Videography, and Photography. Ever since I had my son in the year of 2016, February 29th, that’s right a Leap day baby, I knew I had to hustle and grind, and that’s exactly what I’ve been doing ever since. I plan on using all of my talents to provide great customer service, which one day may provide me with enough residual income to provide for my dreams. Investing in yourself is crucial, I learned that quick and it’s not what you know, it’s who you know so I know if I can stay in the loop, the sky’s the limit for what I want to accomplish.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
My biggest obstacle had a son with absolutely no family to help. It was the biggest struggle besides going places where hundreds of people and not knowing any and still having to work the room, especially when I was the shy guy. I had to break out of my shell that was created by living in a small city, constantly doing the same things; the change was necessary for me to get to this point. Stay uncomfortable, by any means, move by faith and not fear, never give up and ask for help if needed. I had to get past my fears and knock on doors in neighborhoods I could never live in at the moment. I think that’s what people saw in me, my fearlessness to ask for the sale, to promise great customer service, and that’s what I believe made me stand out.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Ronnie’s Real Estate is all about Customer Service, as is my Music business, I specialize in Audio Engineering, Music Videos, Photography, Marketing, and Real Estate. I know Real Estate is a broad term, but I do not limit myself in my field, I do not move by fear, if the job is to list then I’ll list, if the job is to educate, I will educate. I think what set’s me apart from other Realtors is the fact I’m 6’4 with Blonde dreads and cause a lot of attention to myself. I like to be remembered. As far as music goes my creativity goes wild, and me being from a poor community, I like to use everything around me. Usually, I can do a lot with not a lot of money, and that tends to impress people. So I’m never afraid of a challenge, and I think that’s what attracts people the most.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was raised around a lot of families, my Dad was a PE Teacher. My mom was a business owner and also an Apostle. The way I see it, I was born a leader, driven by faith, but had a shell of shyness I needed to break out of. I realized it was holding me back and I forced myself on stage at a young age with my band to perform music and still to this day, I do the same. If you have seen me then and now it’d be night and day, I’m an entertainer who is severely motivated to take care of people and make sure I make them remember me. I was the youngest of 4 kid’s, I had three older sisters who always loved to play with me, and not in a good way all the time. I miss those days. My Father was a hoop star in my city, so everyone wanted me to play basketball, my mom being in the church gave me anxiety because anything I’d do wrong would get back to her by the time I finished doing it, not too fun. So when I moved, the way I see it. I found my Phoenix. I had to unlearn everything and relearn it to make sure it aligned with who I was becoming, which led to my changing my stage name to “Feenyx,” a walking testimony.
