Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan McVey.
Hi Ryan, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m Ryan McVey, from Savannah, GA, and I got my start working as a stand-in on a TV series. It was there I fell in love with working on set and decided to pursue acting.
I then began to seek out professionals that could help me progress in the film industry, worked very hard to become a better actor, and as I learned, I got into working in stunts and producing as well.
It’s an amazing opportunity to make movies and bring stories to life..!!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Bout as smooth as the cobblestone roads of Savannah, GA. Many bumps and bruises along the way, but all well worth them.
I was very lucky to find such a great mentor in the beginning to not only help me prepare for how to be better On Camera but also the mindset it takes to be successful Off Camera as well.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m an actor, stunt performer, and producer. I specialize in acting and helping bring stories to life.
I’m most known for a few of my characters and my fight scene performances.
I’m most proud of my work ethic, my son and being a Dad, and our Port City project I’ve helped create.
My attitude, determination, style, and professionalism sets me apart from others.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
William Mark McCullough – wouldn’t be close to where I am without him. He continues to set the standard as an actor and a gentleman.
My mom – inspired me to never give up on my dream.
My fiancé Carol – continues to support my dream and inspires me every day to be better.
