Today we’d like to introduce you to Sabrian Bruton.
Hi Sabrian, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Well, I went through downfalls just like everyone else. I thought it was over just like everybody else. I hit rock bottom more times than any average human. I had the closest pray on my downfall. I had people make fun of me/critics. You know what makes me different, I never pointed fingers, I took full responsibility like a man. Picked up my head and got things done like a grown man. Kept Pushing, just kept pushing, it’s hard sometimes, but keep pushing, I often told myself. You can’t get a rainbow without going through the rain. I turned that pain into helping others and built a brand that influenced the people.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely has not been a smooth road, my journey & purpose is not for the weak, I say that humbly. They say men shouldn’t cry, even growing up as a little color boy. I was taught to hold my tears. When I started the at-risk program back in 2014, I cried for every individual who has or had to suffer from life experiences or lack of resources, even Americas justices system. Some of the folks in higher places or individuals who have the higher platforms who watch us, even tag us, even support us, don’t truly know the magnitude of what we endure and carry daily just being us and trying to survive.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am Miami Local, born in Perrine. I’m known for my community work, which I’m most proud of mentoring young at-risk youth, started an organization ran & operated by myself. I have organized multiple community events. I hosted presentations at multiple schools and colleges in Florida & explained it’s always been my passion. Whether as a Mentor, Motivational speaker or workshop leader, I break through the boundaries that are limiting others. I speak with kids, teams, students, etc. I provide the mission. Commitment, Responsibility, Possibility, & Support.
What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me?! is what should matter most to all of us in this world and that’s family, The real connection. But nevertheless as the founder of Pushforgreatness interaction while working with youth in the community of Perrine, FL. While there were plenty of interactions between different teams, the connections between them were never utilized efficiently. I worked to establish how to form inter-and intra-network connections that allow for better pro-social friendships, strong interpersonal skills and instill a sense of hope in the future for all so to your question. I would say Real Connections matters to me!
