Today we’d like to introduce you to Sebastian Benitez.
Sebastian, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Since I can remember I’ve always wanted to be a YouTuber! When I was younger I used to go to the YMCA summer camp and I met one of my counselors Baylen Levine who also want it to become one so he encouraged me to do so, I asked my mom and dad for permission and created my youtube channel. Then one day, Baylen uploaded a video where I participated and since then my channel has grown and I have a lot of followers. I also have an IG page and I love being connected with my followers and friends!
Has it been a smooth road?
It’s been fairly easy but sometimes people can be mean and say ugly things to me and the beginning I did not understand why there are hatters but I am a very positive kid so I ignore the bad comments and focus on being happy and supportive of my fans.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Super Sebas story. Tell us more about the business.
Mainly it’s my Youtube channel and my IG page! when I started I was very shy, in my first video I was trying to fly a drone (so I didn’t have to talk to the camera) and I was not very good at it so the drone crash into my house roof, I was genuinely embarrassed for that but my friend Baylen gave me the advice to be myself and not to do anything fake and I think been sincere is what got me all my followers. My mom and dad had always called me “Super Sebas” I guess they were right! lol. I see that every YouTuber has their merchandise so now I’m working with my dad on my merch.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I think it will continue to grow and I hope I’ll be here for the ride. I also have to concentrate in school and I know that will help me be the best at anything!
