Meet Soraya Brooker of Bottomline Lashes in Savannah

Today we’d like to introduce you to Soraya Brooker.

Soraya, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My name is Soraya Brooker, I was born and raised in Savannah, Ga. I am currently in school for Radiography at Georgia Southern University.

I fell in love with lash extensions in high school. My aunt would let me wear her strip lashes to school and events. I loved how the right lash accentuated my eyes and gave the right amount of glam.

Summer 2018, my mother suggested I start selling my own lashes. At first, I was unsure, because I knew owning a business would be a challenge. After pondering for a couple weeks, I decided to launch Bottomline Lashes. By March 2019, I received my LLC and started selling lash extensions out of my college dorm. I was the lash plug in Clark Atlanta Suites.

Since then, I have expanded my brand. Not only do I carry a natural luxury lash, I have added various luxury glam lashes and latex-free lash glue.

Has it been a smooth road?
Owning a business is not easy at all. I have had issues with order delays, waiting on communication from vendor representatives, restocking products, and being consistent. Owning a business really forms you into a human machine!

We’d love to hear more about your business.
BottomLine Lashes prides itself on caring about the beauty and safety of all of our customers. We know many people have allergies to latex, so we provide the best latex-free lash glue we could find. We also realize that our dolls may want a different glam depending on the day or occasion, this is why we have products that don’t miss! Our 3D mink and 25 mm lashes make a statement for any occasion. I am most proud of enhancing the beauty people already have. I am in my own league, my packaging is just as beautiful as the person purchasing.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Its not about where you are, it is how you market yourself. It’s about building a report with each of your clients. You have to put yourself in the client’s position and ask yourself would you buy you own product. That’s the BottomLine!

Pricing:

  • My lashes range from $10 to $15.
  • My price for my glue is $5
