Today we’d like to introduce you to Stanchez Kenyata.
Stanchez, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
At an early age, I knew I was a creative at heart. There wasn’t much to do in my hometown and sports were never my thing so my mom encouraged me to be creative. I remember picking up cameras to take photos every chance I had. My mom purchased disposable cameras for me until I purchased my first compact digital camera. Years later, I moved to Atlanta and she gifted me my first DSLR camera. I started capturing family and friends just to stay within my comfort zone. In 2016, I launched a Facebook page, posted my work, and started gaining new clients. I upgraded my gear and now I’m here.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Things have not been easy for me, but definitely not the worst either. In the beginning, I struggled to find my niche. It takes time for sure! I still have other challenges like staying consistent and creative for my personal projects.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Stanchez Kenyata Photography story. Tell us more about the business.
I specialize in event and portrait photography. If I’m being honest, I really love documenting events. I take on events of any size!
