Meet Stephanie Anderson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Anderson.

Stephanie, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Being born and raised in Detroit, MI into a single-parent home was not ideal. In fact, if someone would have told me that I would be graduating in May 2021 with a Master’s of Divinity degree from one of the top schools in the state of Georgia, I would have laughed them to scorn. I had never once thought of myself as an intellectual nor a preacher. Ministry was far from me and so were the odds of ever going to college. Low and behold, after a God encounter in 2011, I would not only enter into ministry full-time, but I would later graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in English and be accepted into Emory University’s Candler School of Theology.

Since dedicating my life and every part of who I am to God, I have had the privilege of becoming a 3x author, international preacher, and pastor under the leadership of Apostle Bryan and Pastor Patrice Meadows. I have traveled under this ministry to places like Cape Town, South Africa, London, and Paris. Even so, God had only scratched the surface of His desires for me.

This year, I took an exciting leap of faith and led over 30 women on a 10-day journey of discipleship entitled, The Purpose Journey. Every day for ten days, we prayed, fasted, fellowshipped, and wept together- in the middle of a pandemic. The results were breathtaking! Nearly every participant gave birth to a business/idea, completed a major goal, or simply reignited their passion for starting anew. That journey has led me to the official launching of the inaugural Purpose Journey Conference 2020, which will be held this November from Thursday, November 19th- Saturday, November 21st.

Has it been a smooth road?
Although the support and fruit of this pursuit have been amazing, this has certainly not been a smooth road. Along the way, I have dealt with obstacles of depression, anxiety, and a lack of trust. In fact, it was finding myself in such an immense state of despair and coming out of it through prayer, counsel, and good friendships, that led me to gain deeper insight into my own journey towards purpose.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
Although I am an author, preacher, and speaker by reputation, it is The Purpose Journey that sets my ministry apart. Through this program and movement, we are known to be like midwives to women who feel stagnant, stuck, or simply discouraged from becoming all God has for them to be. What I am most proud of is watching women light up as they either discover or gain confidence about their purpose in the earth, and I am made even more proud when they successfully launch, start, or revive their businesses!

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
What I honestly like best about Atlanta is the beautiful and diverse scenery. There are so many different kinds of landscape, from the skyline of the metropolis, the views of stone mountain, or the urban artistry of the belt-line, there is something for everybody and I love it all. What I love least about our city is that even with all that scenery, we don’t have any real beaches nearby!
