Today we’d like to introduce you to Steven Green.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I am a creative director and fashion photographer. I have been shooting for about 7+ years now. Although photography has my heart, I am a well-rounded creative experienced in singing/songwriting, creating and directing sets, as well as personal styling. Now, I wouldn’t be as bold as to say book me for all of these things but they, fortunately, can work hand in hand in providing a greater creative experience. I was first introduced to photography as a high school student. I was the main photographer on my yearbook staff. There is where I learned a lot about camera usage as well as developed my editorial photography style. Since then, I had started working with a local fashion magazine where I shot the covers and spreads as well as hosting model development workshops. I have recently been featured with a local newspaper, Elements Magazine, Elegant Magazine, Vigore Paris, and many others. While traveling from Kansas City to LA, Manila Philippines, New York, Vegas, Atlanta, Chicago, and a few others, I’ve had the pleasure to work with some amazing artist and brands.
Has it been a smooth road?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. I struggled a lot starting out finding out ways to build my brand and create the content that I wanted to create. I lacked the images that inspired me. I became busy with shooting clients and strayed away from creating from within. Along the way, I found that I couldn’t continue to operate that way. I had then decided to dedicate time for my passion projects. I invested in workshops, traveling monthly, semi-monthly to create and network with other creatives. Create mood boards and curate full production shoots. This heightened my creativity to new levels. Once I started creating the images that were true to me, the clientele and income just came along with it!
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Steven G. Photography story. Tell us more about it.
The name of my company is Steven G. Photography. I am a traveling High Fashion Photographer and Creative Director with over seven years of industry experience. I specialize in both still & motion photography. My imagery style is abstract, editorial and clean. I enjoy working on location and in-studio to create dynamic campaign images. I’m also a personal/editorial stylist. I create content for brands and style your everyday person as well as your up and coming shining Hollywood star. I also host model workshops catered to helping develop models’ skills in the industry and provide portfolio enhancement. You could say I do it all. I am most proud of my authenticity as a brand. I stand by morals to always be myself and create from within. What sets me apart is I frequently find ways to utilize my platform to provide an opportunity for those around me. I love to see others reach their greatest potential and if there’s anything that I could do or resource I could provide I strive to do so. It’s truly a blessing to be a blessing to others.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Ironically, I see the industry going in a way of nostalgic imagery. I believe a lot of the trends from the past are going to make its way into a digital future. I love the industry’s ability to recreate and to innovate.
