Today we’d like to introduce you to Sylvia Green.
Hi Sylvia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Music has been my passion since a very early age. Writing poetry and songs was almost all I did in my teenage years. As I grew older, I knew I would be doing something that directly related to music. I can’t deny I tried many music ventures before finally finding my lane. I was an artist, I was on a street team, I managed artists, tried launching a magazine and record label. I was really looking to find my place within the music field. In January of 2020, my birthday actually, I launched On Blast Radio Atlanta. An internet based radio station that caters to independent artists, business owners, and anyone with a talent, product, and/or story that needs to be heard. I’m proud to say we’re embarking on our 2nd year anniversary January 28, 2022.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I can’t say it’s been an easy journey but fortunately, we haven’t had many obstacles or challenges. I guess I’d have to say the most difficult part since things have been up and running is getting artist to take their craft seriously. Them making sure they send the proper information, making sure that they have their business in order so they can actually reap the benefits of having their music streaming via our station. Our goal is to teach and empower indie artists. My personal goal is to be what I really needed when I was pursuing a music career.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I own an internet radio but I definitely like to refer to myself as a Jane of all…lol. I’m a radio personality who considers themself to be a teacher, a motivator, a healer. I’d say I’m most known for speaking my mind and not allowing the opinions of others to ruin my confidence of self. I most proud of how my perseverance through difficult and painful times. I set me apart from others…everything I am is unique and centered from my inner being. I move in love and light!
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite and most treasured childhood memories involved my grandmother, my grandpa, and my cousin. All of which have passed but I know are still with me. I also remember wanting to be just where I am now!
