Tahira, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I love to answer this question because I’m often amazed how God’s plan works. Empowering women has always been the core of who I am. As an older sister, daughter and makeup artist for over 9 years making women feel like they can take on the world was my foundation. One day during the pandemic I was collaborating with one of my DIVAS “Shuling” is her name on my very first women empowerment event ” Meet the DIVA ” and she asked me if I could help her set up her business correctly. She stated she had asked many people to help her and no one would help even the ones she offered to pay. After she said that to me so many others said the exact same thing. I then knew exactly what WIFE. MOTHER.DIVA® was called to do and that was to empower women through business. When I started WIFE. MOTHER. DIVA® simply sold t-shirts with our name on it to bring in money. I remember buying my domain name for my website and not being able to afford to do it for $30 a month. I told myself all you have to do is sell 1 shirt a month to afford it and that’s exactly what I did! Now almost 4 Years Later our bills are WAYYYYY bigger than $30. Starting when I had nothing is how I got to where I am today.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Goodness noooooooo absolutely not! This journey has been filled with trial and error and honestly that’s the reality of being an entrepreneur. You cannot find what works for you if you don’t try the things that may not work. Finding your exact audience, fully understanding them and learning how to deliver your message directly to their hearts is a journey you’ll be on for a while! One of my biggest problems as a coach was learning how to convert my message to $$. When you do something you would honestly do for Free it’s hard to put a price on it. My price has become a filtering system and has allowed me to work with the women who really want it no matter where they are starting from. I have products from $9,99/month to $3,500. I created WIFE. MOTHER. DIVA® for women-owned Brands at all ends of the spectrum

WIFE. MOTHER. DIVA® is a women’s business consulting & coaching firm. We help women START, GROW & FUND their business. When I talk about building brands it has nothing to do with cute logos and colors, It has everything to do who the person is and how we can transcend their morals, belief and Passion into their business. The thing I am most proud of in My Brand is The way my DIVAS love me as much as I love them and the understand exactly how I feel about BLACK WOMEN! I remember talking to my Brand Photographer who is one of my clients as well. I asked her was doing too much to drive 2 hours away to make sure we had black women-owned champagne at our event and she responded and said ” I expect nothing less”
WIFE. MOTHER. DIVA® is located in Philadelphia but when I tell you my DIVAS are everywhere! London, Africa, California, Texas, Florida, Chicago, and New York. I’ve had the pleasure of coaching women from all over.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Apps I can.t live without are asana for organizing my task for myself and my Team. Canva is another one, you can literally create anything with canva. Favorite book when is comes to business is a Book Called ” Branding against the machine” by John Morgan. It took me years to read that entire book as I implemented what I learned step by step.
