Today we’d like to introduce you to Tamara Abrosimova.
Hi Tamara, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I moved to the United States from Ukraine when I was 12 and got involved professionally in acting in 2019. I started off as an extra and decided that I didn’t want to be forgettable and blurred in the background. I hated watching someone else live my dream.
I wanted to be in front of the camera, so I got myself agents in different markets, started taking classes and booked my first co-star a year later.
At the moment I am working on a horror screenplay that is a fun mix of “Dexter” and “Secret diary of a call girl”, taking classes with Tracy Kilpatrick and Erica Beam, selling my book, planning a trip to England, getting certified in massage therapy.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has NOT been a smooth road. Being an actor is not all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a crazy rollercoaster, just like life itself. You can book your dream role one day and get zero auditions for weeks straight.
In my personal experience during those last three years, I had to deal with homelessness, sexual harassment, being groomed and constantly rejected for not being this or that.

My business is an LLC and is focusing on helping other actors book roles, sign with agents, what websites to use, what type of headshots to get for a certain market… I am a business consultant. I love helping actors and share my experience with others who are just getting started.

I love the diversity, the energy and there is always something to do, new places to check out. I love that comic cons are being held here with wonderful guests from various TV shows and films.
