Today we’d like to introduce you to Tanisha Davis-Moses.
Tanisha, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
In a nutshell., When I was younger, I always wanted to become a doctor.. or more so a Pediatrician. As I grew older, that plan shifted a little and decided I wanted to start from entry level and work my way up but still in the nursing field. At some point in my life, I took a step back and realized that school was not for me. I then had to figure it out. In reflection, I realized that every job I had, every thought I had and every dream I had there was a common denominator, which was helping people. So helping people was what I loved. Now fast forwarding, I used to dabble in makeup and hair all the time and when I honed in on that, I struck gold. And when I say that, it’s not monetary thinking. It’s the feeling that I get from hearing clients’ stories or venting all the while making them feel good, enhancing their beauty. That’s my purpose.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I don’t think any road is “smooth”! I would say that my struggle was finding my purpose… Acknowledging my why and utilizing my gift.

My business is a service based business. I specialize in Hair, Brows and Lashes. I provide wig, weave and natural hair services. I tint, shape and fill brows and provide eyelash extensions and mink lashes. I also do light makeup applications as well. As a company, I am most proud of being able to be transparent with my clients and being able to provide services to great people!
What sets me and my business apart is first that I’m mobile and will come to you! Also, that I care about my clients.. they are my family and I can be totally honest, funny and transparent with them and that keeps them coming back.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I would say my husband deserves credit because he has been cheering me on since day one. He has pushed me to make the logo and how to hone in on what I wanted to provide and just being very supportive along the way. Always telling me not give up and, most importantly, to be consistent. He gave me jewels that he learned along the way when he started his clothing line, LUST Apparel.
I would also say that my father has been an influence as well because he has always been an entrepreneur. He always loved the independence he has and getting paid for what you love is not work at all and I always wanted that feeling!
