Meet Tanzania Jackson of GIFT in Clayton County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tanzania Jackson.

Tanzania, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’ve had a passion for music since I was a kid and pursued it seriously as I became older. I love music in its entirety, and I also love being a part of a band. That definitely plays a major role in my style of melody today.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has been a very appreciating experience being able to grow as a better artist, and person. When situations came about, I knew to keep a desire towards my talent and love myself. As long as I have another day, it is another way to live life the way I want.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Singing and writing music is something that I love to do to escape reality. I would call myself an R&B/Pop Artist because of who I am inspired by. Skooly, Chris Brown, and Future definitely inspired my character towards music, but being myself separates me from others. My lyrics represent love and motivation. I am also proud of creating a business called Cashnova, alongside Winterchild and Logikall. Cashnova has expanded from music into film/production.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I have been quiet and shy, but I am starting to love who I am becoming.
