Tasha, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
To say it simply, It Started With A Vision.
I am always writing, thinking, and creating so one day while driving in traffic, I decided to take my love for reading, writing, and business to the next level by officially launching Honorable Mention Publishing. I remember trying to come up with a name and I said why not keep the Honorable Mention Brand going.
My vision is to create a series of books to motivate others to take action while creating positive dialogue. If our books help one person or one million then my mission is accomplished.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Nothing great was accomplished without facing obstacles or challenges. However, you can either chose to defeat them or be defeated. I will try to keep it brief but I encountered many obstacles that would have made most give up. For me, I’ve never been one to believe that something can’t be done. I believe there is always a way.
Some obstacles included trying to find someone to produce the Quality that we were seeking with our printing while not having ridiculous quantity requirements that didn’t make business sense. Yes, there’s always a cheap way to get things done but that usually comes with compromise and quality is something we weren’t willing to compromise because at Honorable Mention Publishing, Quality Matters. We only want the best for our customers when they think enough of us to purchase our books.
Other obstacles included Time Constraints, Holidays, Acts of God, and our packages getting lost to later be found thankfully. Let’s just say that I have given you the short version.
The main challenges were finding ways to produce our books without compromising our vision or values. We encountered many who told us it couldn’t be done but I am proud to say that when you hold the vision and trust the process it usually works out in the end. We passed the test thankfully and we’re always up for a challenge.

What we do is simple, we publish books but most importantly, we do it our way.
Honorable Mention Publishing creates and publishes Planners and Books for Business Men and Women. We are known for The Visionary Entrepreneur Planner currently.
Honestly, I am most proud of launching my second business and making my vision a reality along with the positive feedback when people purchase our books. Currently, we have had support locally in Georgia, Tennessee, Kansas, Arkansas, Maryland, California, and Louisiana. We have had a great start and it reminds me that my sleepless nights and fighting was not in vain.
What sets us apart from others is the focus on Quality and doing things the Non-Traditional way.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Of course, we are always planning the future. Right now we focus on providing quality and maintaining customer satisfaction.
