Haze Vaporizers is a vaporizer manufacturer, retailer and distributor located just outside of Atlanta, Georgia.
Before Haze was Haze, we began as a small reseller of many vaporizer brands. We quickly realized where the industry was heading and saw opportunity in learning how to distinguish a good portable vape from a not so good quality one. We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Challenges are endless in the vaporizer industry. Simple needs of a random business become giant speed bumps. Getting approved for credit card processing by a merchant processor, getting approved by the banks for opening new accounts or obtaining loans, dealing with advertising channels, marketing your products on conservative platforms such as Google or Facebook. These are all challenges because many companies do not wish to represent or take on clients from this market and the ones who do usually charge 3-4 times more for the same services. The key is to find the right group of people who are open minded enough to operate in the vaporizer industry. It is certainly a high risk for a greater return type of deal. Since we have built a reputation over the years, we were lucky to these relationships at the early stages. It is becoming extremely difficult to get into this market nowadays, especially as a manufacturer or e-commerce retailer.
Another challenge to note is the FDA. Once the FDA opened discussion on proposed regulations to the public, we started following those guidelines and getting the market’s feedback about them. This allowed us to easily forecast the final rulings and based on that we took steps to anticipate them. Our products were engineered to ensure compliance with those regulations before they were finalized. Although being compliant, the FDA was another costly challenge to the prior unregulated vaporizer market forcing many other companies to close.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I am not so sure if it is just down to luck or being able to spot market trends. I saw an opportunity in the vaporizer industry and jumped on it. Technology is always improving resulting in vaporizers becoming more powerful, smaller, faster and efficient. Between the innovative technology and the recent reform on medical laws the vaporizer industry is booming. Spotting this trend at an early stage has allowed Haze to build a reliable reputation, make crucial relationships and gain product knowledge before the market became flooded with new vendors.
