Meet Tiara L. Cole

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiara L. Cole.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Tiara. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started my first blog in my senior year in college in 2016. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Print Journalism from Clark Atlanta University in 2017. After graduating, I took a break from blogging to start freelance writing for publications to make money. After figuring out how to monetize the online space, I decided to pick up blogging again and started my blog, A Little TLC in January 2020. On the blog, I write about fashion, home decor, and wellness. When I’m not blogging, I am a content writer for brands and influencers full-time.

Has it been a smooth road?
No, it hasn’t – the only thing smooth about my journey is that I knew what my purpose was from the start. For that, I am grateful. But the road to executing my plan has been bumpy. In the process, I’ve started and stopped businesses that didn’t fulfill me, worked corporate jobs that drove me crazy, and even went through self- sabotage as a blogger, being afraid of what people might think.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
Both my blog and my writing business are under the Tiara Cole Communications umbrella. The first two years of my writing career focused on business style writing for publications such as Milwaukee Business Journal and Atlanta Tribune: The Magazine. I specialized in profile interviews. I later tapped into the blogging industry that I was already passionate about and apart of and decided to devote my writing business to serve influencers and brands alike full-time. My services include: Email/Newsletter Marketing, Caption Writing for Instagram Growth, Brand Collaboration Pitches, Website Content, Product Descriptions, SEO Blog Post Writing, Ebook Writing, Profile Interviews.

I am most proud of my blog. It tells all the different parts of me and allows me to express myself while 100% owning the space. The intention here is to share calm outfit ideas, home decor trends, and wellness tips. I don’t know of another black woman blogger with the same specific intention as me. I send a clear message to my audience. They know I’m not going to just post anything on Instagram or on my site. It has to make sense and be true to the mission.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see my blog giving value to a large, loyal audience for years to come. I would love to launch a product line within the next 5-10 years for my tribe at A Little TLC. I want my writing business to reach the top influencers and brands. Having a team of people to assist with projects in the near future would be ideal for Tiara Cole Communications.
