Today we’d like to introduce you to Tierra Little.
So, before we jump into specific questions about what you do, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I am an upcoming style expert, and entrepreneur from the cherry blossom capital, Macon GA. My moniker, Fox, became something that I grew into, literally. My aunt would tease me when I was little, saying that I was a “Fox in Training.” Aunt Fran already exuded what it meant to be a Fox: confidence, style, and grace. That always stuck with me. And it’s refreshing to know that I can call myself a Fox now.
Fox sort of sprouted into a big deal. In 2009, I was a junior in high school and social media was on the rise. Myspace was the latest place for socializing, uploading pictures from a SIM card, and let’s not forget creating a page that everyone loved. I changed my username to FoxTheFierce, and my friends at school started acknowledging me as Fox. Although my parents limited my time online, I utilized Myspace to embody the elements of my personal style. I’d pick out my outfit the night before school, take pictures, and post them on my Myspace page.
Has it been a smooth road?
The road has been smooth so far. I’d be fibbing if I said everything is perfect. Perfection is a standard that everyone secretly seeks. But, the key is lowering and raising your standards to make things achievable. When I rebranded my Instagram into a style blog in October 2018, it wasn’t really something I planned on doing. I took it day by day. At first, IG was just a place for me to post cute pictures of myself.
Now, I realize people look forward to my content. So. I work harder to create quality. I use resources and apps that make blogging so much easier, I also plan as much as I can by using the notes on my phone. This keeps my upcoming content organized. At times, I do struggle when I feel uninspired. Sort of like bloggers- block. That’s when I know I need to take a brief break from blogging to enjoy other activities that I like. And that’s okay.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Fox story. Tell us more about it.
I utilize Instagram as a style and lifestyle blog (I’ve come along way since Myspace). Fox has blossomed into a multifaceted yet timeless brand. The primary focus for Fox is to help others curate their own personal wardrobe. Every week, I post a segment on my Instagram called “Wardrobe Tips with Fox.” These tips and hacks are tidbits of style advice that everyone can use in some shape or form. Many of my tips are gender-neutral, so anyone can use them. For Instance, “How to Shop for Vacation.” I am also building my YouTube channel to be a cohesive component of my blog. People like to feel like they’re right there in the moment with you.
What makes this segment unique is that my tips are always exclusive. I’ve used them before and they are effective. Studying trends and what my followers are into helps me create intentional content. Followers often engage with me about where to shop, or how to get the best out of their wardrobe. I encourage them to give me feedback on their style/wardrobe experiences. I can curate helpful content when I know what works for them, and what doesn’t.
I am most proud of the progress that Fox has made. God has gifted me the platform to do what I love, and more.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The next 5-10 years will be big! Fox can be marketed in many different directions. In retrospect, I always want to remain true to the values that were in place during the making of Fox. Right now, I am focused on the techniques needed to create a business that will last a lifetime. I am studying fashion and beauty moguls such as Kimora Lee Simmons, the Kardashians, and Jackie Aina. Any business or brand that keeps people coming back is succeeding. It has a level of quality behind it.
