Meet Tiffanie Luellen of Jaiona’s Yoga Closet

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffanie Luellen.

Tiffanie, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
After collecting a diverse set of professional experiences as a licensed CPA in Corporate America, I recognized that the solution to stability in one’s professional and personal life was mindfulness. Mindfulness is increasing our awareness of our mind-body-spirit connection, accepting ourselves as we are and becoming aligned with a higher purpose.

This realization prompted the creation of Jaiona’s Yoga Closet, where my mission is to enhance the overall health and well-being of my clients through body awareness, breathing techniques, yoga postures and creative pursuits. I became aligned with my purpose using mindfulness and my intention is to help others achieve the same.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve struggled for a long time in finding my purpose. Accounting is lucrative but I always felt like I should have been doing something else. Once I finally found my purpose, I created Jaiona’s Yoga Closet in 2015. From 2015-2017 one of my biggest challenges was deciding whether to leave my 9 to 5 to pursue this dream of helping others find their alignment.

In 2017, I finally made the decision to step out on faith into full-time entrepreneurship. It was one of the best decisions I’ve made to date because I feel so much freer to continue following my dreams. In 2017, I self-published ’60 Affirmations and Reflections for Entrepreneurs’. It’s based on a series of affirmations I used to build up my courage to finally quit my 9 to 5. It’s a 60-day process of meditation, visualizations, and reflections to motivate entrepreneurs.

Also, in 2017 I created the Quit Your Job in 90 Days Conference which is intended to encourage others to follow their dreams, find more meaningful careers and/or launch a business. So a lot of creativity has poured out of me finally facing my fears and struggles.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Jaiona’s Yoga Closet – what should we know?
I offer a variety of yoga and meditation classes and workshops in metro Atlanta. I am mainly based out of Atlanta but travel to Washington DC, Chicago and Los Angeles for special events and workshops. I specialize in offering yoga and meditation in the workplace and corporate spaces.

My style of teaching is meditative in nature so my classes tend to move at a slower pace with the intent of allowing students to quiet the mind. In the silence, we can hear a higher power and our inner voice more clearly, we can begin changing the way we think and view life. Meditation gives you a platform to create new opportunities and visualizes new possibilities. “For what we think, we become.”

I think what sets me apart is that I have navigated both worlds. I understand the demands of Corporate America. I also recognize the need for creating balance and reducing stress, these are the things that really lead to more productivity. When we are relaxed and in alignment, we perform at a higher level, we think we clarity. When we become attuned, we can allow our creativity to rise to the surface and our overall sense of well-being improves. My company provides a roadmap to achieving these things.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Having the courage to continuously face the unknown. Entrepreneurship requires you to stay self-motivated and you can’t be afraid to fail. There have been times when I have gotten it completely wrong. I’m still learning to be ok with not getting it right. One of the keys is refusing to take up residence in that space. I feel like every day I wake up I get another chance to get it right or make my business better.
