Meet Tiffany Hall of Love in a Box by Tiff in Fairburn

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Hall.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
It started by me making a baby shower basket for my boyfriend’s daughter Kelsey. I’ve always liked to give sentimental gifts from the heart, just to see the smile on other’s faces. I never expected it to become an actual hobby or shall I say a lead to entrepreneurship. I must say I enjoy making the baskets because it keeps my mind occupied from thinking about other things such as my health. I’ve been out of work due to my current health condition so making the baskets are very therapeutic. I make baskets customized to the person it’s for. Therefore I like to know what that person likes, their hobbies, occasion, etc. Not all of the gifts I make are in baskets, I’ve done boxes, bags and crates. Each gift has an item inside that I’ve customized myself, such as my candle top designs. This is what I feel sets my gift baskets apart from others. I posed a question to my close family and friends for any name ideas for my business. My sister in law gave me Love in a box by Tiff. I thought that was very fitting because people gave me reviews as them feeling that I made the basket with love. I never imagine a few months ago that it would take off like this but I am very grateful.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, it hasn’t been smooth. I’ve gone weeks with no orders and often contemplating giving up. I still question is this really my passion? Could I possibly make a living off of this? The revenue isn’t overwhelming but it is getting me by.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Love in a box by Tiff – what should we know?
I make customized gift baskets with items inside that I craft myself. The items inside my baskets are strategically chosen to fit the person the gift is for. I feel what sets my basket apart from others is that none of my baskets are alike. I don’t throw them together. They are well thought out. I don’t always use a basket. I use boxes, bags and even crates. Most of my baskets come with candles and I decorate the candle top.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I would say my kids Tatyana and Tory, my boyfriend Harry and his daughter Kelsey. Oh and I cannot forget my mother, my biggest supporter. She told me I’ve always did for others even when I didn’t have it because I wanted them to smile. They have all supported me by sharing and promoting my business. My boyfriend has even been on the road and found baskets for me. It’s a loving feeling knowing I have their support and they know this is actually keeping going and not focusing on my pain as much.

Pricing:

  • My baskets are really based on the customer’s budget but I start at $50 per basket with a $25 deposit
