Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Taylor.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
In 2004, I decided for my milestone birthday, I wanted to plan something different to celebrate. This event would not be the normal dinner, party, or club celebration. In contrast, I wanted to create an experience and decided on a cruise. Once referred to Belvin Baldwin, owner of Showtime Travel, plans were made for my birthday cruise. Five friends and I set sail to the Caribbean and I was hooked! For the next 10 years, I worked with Showtime Travel to begin planning luxury vacations with family and friends. Momentum was automatic — every year the size of the group increased, the destinations became more exotic, and my passion for travel was undeniably borne. It was the birth of Tiffany’s Family and Friends Bi-Annual Vacation!
During the planning period, I worked closely with Showtime Travel to plan every detail of the vacation. As a strategic planner, it was important to provide a comprehensive experience by ensuring my core group of travelers (which had exponentially grown to 50+ guests), had a seamless payment process, an unforgettable vacation, and was just as excited about our next adventure by the end of the current one. During the planning process of my 2014 travel extravaganza with Showtime Travel, I remembered thinking, “I can do this. I SHOULD do this!” The next conversation I had with Belvin was to discuss the steps needed to become a part of his team as an independent travel consultant.
Hence, the journey was in full motion and in 2018, Taylored Travel, LLC was officially an entity in the world of exclusive and luxury travel.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Opportunities for adjustments are the cornerstone to any challenge. When creating and nurturing a business, there are always challenges. However, the only challenge I have encountered is the self-imposed pressure of learning every aspect of the travel industry as quickly as possible to continue to improve the travel experience I provide to every client. When you are functioning within your gift and following your passion, it is never work!

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
As a child, I have many memories, but the one closely connected with my passion – holds sincere and dear to my heart. My parents made it a priority to take a family vacation at least twice a year. When I was 4 years old, they took me and my 2 older sisters to Walt Disney World. I can remember it like yesterday! The feeling of exhilaration walking into the park, taking pictures with the characters, sitting on my Dad’s shoulders watching the electric parade float down Main Street, waving to Cinderella with the Castle as the fairy tale backdrop was MAGICAL! Once my younger siblings were born and old enough to enjoy the experience, we packed up the wagon and headed to Walt Disney World again nine years later. Once more, the feeling of exhilaration I felt at four years old came rushing back.
Every personal travel experience I have, every travel experience I customize for a client, every country I visit with my husband, children, and family… that same overwhelming feeling of exhilaration consumes me! My parents had no idea the sacrifices they were making to take our family on vacation created the blueprint for my passion to travel. I am consumed by wanderlust!
