Today we’d like to introduce you to Tinzley Bradford.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I got fed up with low-quality men treating women like we are just a dessert off of a menu and not a human. I got tired of men with bad breath, receding hairlines and pot bellies trying to tell me I’m not good enough! LOL No seriously I mean this! Also, I got tired of falling for the wrong man and over looking the signs just so I can say I have a man which is what a lot of women do these days unfortunately!
I grew up being raised by a single mom along with my sister. I noticed over the years not having a positive male role model in my life, such as a father caused me to many times feel lost and stuck when it came to making dating decisions, car buying decisions and maintenance decisions. I was many times like ” Should I do this?” “Is this the right thing to do?”How will I know if this guy really likes me? Or what if the car still breaks down after I just purchased it? Is it a good car?” I mean I had tons of questions growing up that I know better decisions would have been made had I had a father. My mom is a Queen and in no way am I discrediting her, she raised us with love, however, all know how important it is to have that father figure too. Guys have got to realize how important it is to be present in their children’s lives.
As I started dating, I noticed many of the guys I chose were losers, men who really and truly didn’t have my best interest at heart, but I was blind to this because, well I never knew what real love from a man was supposed to look, feel or act like so I allowed any kind of treatment because I didn’t want to be by myself. Over time I just got tired of it and one day I remembered who I was. I remembered I didn’t deserve to be mistreated and I deserved the best that love and life had to give.
This was when I decided to take all my bad dating experiences and write about them and empower other women and young teen girls to know their worth and to refuse to settle for less than they deserve. I remind them that you do not have to deal with bead behavior all in the name of not being single! I wrote my first book, “The Settlefree dating Method for Women.” and started the Settlefree Movement. The Settlefree movement is much more than just dating, it’s about refusing to settle in any area of your like, whether it’s your finances, career choices, friendships, health, relationships and just life period, I speak on this at women empowerment conferences and I recently created The Settlefree Mixer where I gather some of the best dating coaches, relationship counselors, business leaders, and entrepreneurs to speak life into my invited guests influencing them to learn how to stop settling for less than they deserve and to work on reaching their greater purpose! I’ve had four very successful mixers and I’m planning number 5. (Stay Tuned!)
We’d love to hear more about your business.

Has it been a smooth road?
There have been some amazing high points in which I am truly grateful for and look forward to many more, however, It has not been smooth at all. The “Business” is very competitive and it’s filled with a lot of half baked people who too are still trying to find their way and hoping to get that big break as many of us are. The thing is for many, when things don’t go their way they turn into monsters! Example, and please don’t take this as me being bitter because that’s not the case, this is just me simply speaking my truth. I’ve had people I trusted and admired and shared my platform with, suddenly stop engaging with me, form relationships with people they met through me, planned conferences and events, put those people on their panel and just ignored me as if to say “Oh I got what I wanted so we’re done!” Yes, this type of stuff does happen but you gotta have thick skin! Ha Ha Ha I laugh at them knowing we definitely live in a dog eat dog world! I had to remember, everyone is NOT my tribe and many of them are just out here trying to “Prove” something! I won’t settle for bad behavior so I say NEXT and keep it moving! I’m just keeping it real honey child! Settlefree remember?? LOL
Other struggles are there can be a lot of misunderstandings and ego trips where once close connections have a ton of stuff going on in their personal life and somehow they place the burden of their frustrations on unexpected peoples shoulders just because of a few flaws they noticed. Yes, people will turn on you FAST the moment they find something to judge you by or look down on you for. Geez, I’m like why you gotta be like that?? I thought we were cool! Needless to say, it can create very uncomfortable energy to the point where I just have to move on and separate myself from it. (Positive Vibes Only!) I’m really learning what that quote means for real! I’ve learned you can NOT take everything personally and have to remain true to yourself and your values. You have to learn how to roll with the punches and continue to improve where you know you need to. You can not and will not be able to help anyone if you too are a broken mess, however you need people around you who know how to love you through your pain, even if that means stepping back and allowing you to heal! You definitely don’t need negative people around you who are there to tear you down. To be successful, you have to block out the foolery and focus hard on your greater purpose. You must also stay consistent to your dreams and never give up!
Is your city a good place to do what you do?
I think Atlanta is definitely a great city to start out and for a business like mine, but the key is YOU HAVE TO HUSTLE and stay relevant and go get it daily. You MUST be consistent if you plan to achieve your dreams here in Atlanta because the competition is HUGE and they are NOT backing down so neither should you! It also takes patience and belief in yourself. You can’t expect overnight fame no matter how many other people get online and act like a clown and get noticed overnight, that;’s not for everyone and you have to make sure you’re being YOUR authentic self not trying to copy anyone else!
